Charter Arms 74420 Bulldog 5RD 44SP 2.5"
by Lawrence F Date Added: Friday 02 March, 2012
To the range I go. Ammo where I bought it was pricy to say the least but not the gun/makers fault. I was shooting 44spl 165g FTX from Hornady. This is what I will be using for self defense. I have a big 44 super blackhawk that I hunt with and was expecting a very large kick. It didnt have it. It has been a long while since I shot a snub nose about 30 years or so and I want to say it kicks like a 38 with a little more uffff.....kick yes unmanagable no. I would say just about the same as a heavy 357 maybe. Mine shot about 2 inches to the right each time at 10 yards....which means a heart shot each time for unsuspecting bandit who wishes to take what is mine. I would not use this on the range as a range gun because it may beat you up a little but the rounds I shot was nothing to me....but I have a lot to put behind it as well. I am a very firm believer in that you can get a very good firearm without paying for the name as will get it with this snubbie.......NICE....and.....SWEET.....
