Just received the Colt "TALO 1991 CC" pistol. I truly was expecting something a bit more "one of a kind". It is still a very nice pistol but it doesn't really stand out like many of the TALO models of the past. I have a 1991 standard model and there is not a great deal of difference. On my original 1991 out of sheer boredom, I ordered and installed upsept grip safety, Three Hole Trigger and different grips. Except for the grips, they are identical. All of the add ons, you could do easily for about $150 and you would not be able to tell the difference. I think Colt could do a better job on these "special editions" i.e. better grips, fitted barrel bushing, night sights, checkering(front and rear) full length guide rod and, eventhough I know it will never happen, a 4lb trigger.
Wilson, Ed Brown and Les Baer all do the things that make a "special" pistol and Colt could, and should, pay a little more attention to the little things. Makes putting up $1000( ) a little easier. Still, it is a Colt-4 stars
