Ruger must have messed up on this one. Wasn’t fitted correctly the loading gate would catch, gritty trigger. Very poor quaintly and I sold it off.

I love this gun, !
It shoots very well, But the spring on the base pin latch was bad, the pin came out part way almost every shot, i replaced the spring. Should be fine now.

Check your gun like they tell us to before you accept it from your FFL.The action of this revolver did not work properly. Bud's switched it out quickly but the replacement had a line of something around the front sight that solvent and a brush would not remove. Think of first grade artwork where two pieces of material are mashed together with too much glue and it squishes out around the edges. It was headed for the cerakote shop anyway so I took it. Another new Blackhawk that I bought a while back had the ejection rod housing improperly attached and I had to send it to Ruger. Trust but verify.

I always wanted a single action 44 spcl and have had a lot of fun shooting this firearm. It is very accurate out of the box, the blueing is nicer than the photo shows, trigger is moderately heavy with a bit of creep. A good action/trigger job would really polish this gem. For a low price you get a rugged, reliable, and very accurate firearm that could be improved upon with with a little work. I still like my S&W 4" 629, but I think this ruger will be a perminant member of my collection. Happy shooting.

Great sized packing pistol, stout weight to control a variety of loads, and last. Decent trigger out of the box. Bought because I like the Bisley hammer, grip, and 44 S&W. HSM Cowboy 240gr SWC shot well in it (bit smoky), but a Unique load w/ .430 dia 240gr LSWC made mine great.

Ruger Bisley 4.62 inch barrel .44 special. Trigger is very surprising at just a touch over 3 lbs. Typical Ruger quality, built like a tank. Tested 6 different loads at over 120 rounds fired for accuracy. I load on the warm to hot side of the spectrum. .44 special loads using light bullets, 180 grain cast and 180 grain xtp. All loads were accurate with no signs of high pressure. I've been taking deer here in Texas for 35 years using 44 magnums, no doubt in my mind that this will take care of anything I use it for. I love the 4.62 inch barrel as it is easy to handle and settled on target well. Even with my loads recoil was not an issue. A thanks to Buds for their fast and efficient manner getting the Ruger to me, I'm very pleased with the purchase. Thank you very much, Pete
