Picked up the M85 from my FFL a little over a week ago. Man what a sweet gun! I took it to the range for the first time last weekend and put 120 rounds of Tula steel cased 223 and 60 rounds of Federal brass 223 with no issues whatsoever! Being a 223 built on a AK type platform, this gun is made to shoot the cheaper steel cased rounds, making it easy on the wallet. Despite shooting rifle caliber bullets out of a small package, the recoil was very managable, and in no way unpleasant to shoot. I was also pleasantly suprised at the accuracy of the gun. While I did not test a super long ranges, I had no problem staying on target at 25 yards with the stock sights.

I am really surprised more people aren't buying and reviewing this gun. It is easily my new favorite in my collection. At the beginning of the year, the price was steep just like everything else, but now at $588, this gun truly is a bargain. If you have been considering picking one up, but were unsure as to the quality and performance of the gun, do not worry...this thing is built like a tank! Plus, it is getting easier to find the steel cased ammo in stock at Walmart at a very reasonable price. What are you waiting for...pick one up!
