Feels very solid, with good fit and finish. The picture doesn't do it justice. Nice rich blueing and the wood grips look great. Regarding function, when I inspected it the slide was a bit hard to rack and the slide release was so tough it almost took two thumbs. Don't let that throw you, though. After just 50 rounds it's already breaking in nicely. Ate all 50 rounds (230 grain ball) without a hitch. The safety easilly snaps up and down, no problems there. The trigger has a tiny bit of take-up, but breaks clean. I'll be working over the GI sights, but that's about it. For 400 bucks, you just can't go wrong here. If they are sold out, get one of the two-tone models while you can. I'm actually contemplating it.
