Finally fired it, very accurate iron sights at 25 yards and shot very well. Very fun and adjustable gas tube makes light kickback.

Throw the stock away and you got yourself a great gun! I regret selling mine...

This 308 version of the AK really surprised me. In a good way I might add. The quality was great. The Pics on site do not do this Rifle any justice at all. It is very well made with a chrome lined barrel and heavy milled receiver. It only came with 1 mag which isn't the biggest deal in the world. I had to sell it due to a personal emergency but I have it on my wish list and as soon as they have them in stock again I will buy another one. I did get lucky though last month and got to Lay Away my VEPR 7.62*54r which holds 20 rounds so I am not doing to bad. Especially since I've been looking for 3 years for one! This 308 AY is worth every penny and I would trust in battle with my life anyday. 5 stars for the rifle and 10 stars for Buds for there unbeatable customer service, prices, and selection!

Unbelievable weapon. To be honest I was worried about the low price, but when my very knowledgeable FFL GOT IT in his hands and was impressed by the construction, I was thrilled. Mags took a little breaking in, but by the second trip to the range the weapon was flawless. Dean on out of the box at 100 yards. If you love an AK platform your going to love this weapon. It has quickly become my favorite and most reliable rifle and I've bought 5 in the past year from Buds. I promise you won't be disappointed. I did eventually change out the thumbhole stock because I'm a lefty, but the one that comes with is comfortable for a right hand shooter and manageable for a lefty. I will get another one of these down the road.

I've read all the reviews and researched this rifle for months and finally "pulled" the trigger and bought one. In a word, impressive, especially for the price. It's not as clean a machine job as I've seen, their are tooling marks on the barrel and the bolt, but then again, it's an AK variant. The fit on the parts is way above average, and surprisingly, the trigger is very solid. nice and crisp. I installed a midwest industries scope mount and a 3-9x40 compact scope. A little adjustment on the tension for the scope mount and with the compact scope mounted forward on the rail it has perfect eye relief. Sadly this only came with one magazine. Century said they were working with Zastava to get some mags made and available for purchase, in the meantime a little dremel work and a couple of M14 mags are working well right now. This rifle needed to be completely stripped to get all of the excess grease and lube out of it. When I took it out of the box most everything was sticky. It wasn't cosmoline, but it was probably a 2nd cousin to it. A complete strip and relube of all the parts and straight to the range. 200 rounds with zero issues. It's not a long range sniper, but at 100 yards was acceptably accurate using lake city milsurp I was getting 1 1/2 inch groups with the occasional flyer. If your on the fence about this rifle, buy it. For the current price you can't go wrong.

Great rifle and very accurate. I replace the stock with Ace folding skeleton stock and bought the Ace slant cut adapter as a base for the folding stock. For those of you who wants a very nice rifle to hunt with and without breaking the bank, this is it and it's an AK variant so you know that it's reliable in a 7.62X51 NATO caliber. It's a no brainer and don't shy away from the ugly thumbhole stock...it's an easy thing to replace.

Absolute Quality! Shipped same day payment cleared and here the next day. If you want a well built AK and one in .308, don't hesitate. Buy it! The length of pull of the thumbhole stock is just right for a short person and feels right! Makes it easy to acquire the target. This is my third gun from Buds and have a fourth on order. Have never had a problem and the layaway terms are excellent!

I love this rifle! Came with two 10rd magazines, and it needed a solvent cleaning before firing. M70 PAP style furniture fits, and so does M76. I am going for the M76 style look. Has a Cold Hammer Forged barrel, but no chrome lining. Which is fine since I don't shoot corrosive 308 surplus, and if I did, I'd clean it. I also mounted an original Yugoslavian ZRAK ON-M76A Scope. Sits a bit too far in rear for good eye relief. So keep that in mind when mounting a scope. Use a forward mount. It is not as heavy as I thought. My OPAP feels just as heavy. Sights are straight, and so is the rear receiver. Finish is good. Arrived in 7 days after making my final Layaway payment.

If you are thinking about buying a M77 stop thinking and buy it. This gun is one of the best guns for the price out there. I purchased it on Tue. picked it up from my FFL on Fri. After cleaning the gun really looks good. I took it to the range on Sun. it gets 2in groups at a 100 yards with open sites and it was cheap ammo.

Very nice gun. Give it a good cleaning and it is awesome. I added a flash suppressed a couple 20 round mags and I am in the processes of making some new furniture for it. But the thumbhole stock looks alot better in person. Shipping was fast. Would recommend.

I purchased this rifle and was very happy with it. I own 6 total yugo AKs and this is my favorite. Rifle looked great and was well worth the money. I liked the thumb hole stock better than I thought I would and the ten round mags were fine as well. Cons are that it is heavyweight . And like all tge PAPs the scope mount is not a standard AK side mount. Dont get this if you want an assault rifle it is too heavy and long. But as a scoped short range sharp shooter that packs a punch I love it.

Great Service from Bud, two bad I had to wait 2.5 months for my paperwork to go through here in Maryland. I have grown to like the thumb-hole stock. Solid build, built for punishment. Only complaint is the damn muzzle nut that was put on over the original threads. I am having it removed next weekend and then will stick a birdcage flash suppressor on her. Pretty pricey but considering it will be something I can hand down to my son and still know it will be in great shape even with a lot of good use, it was well worth it.

I'm very surprised by the fact I am the first person reviewing this rifle on here. Just picked mine up yesterday from the FFL and all I can say is "Wow". These Zastava M77's are beautifully put together and ROCK solid. Fit and finish are, in my opinion, excellent. The FFL had a Saiga .308 and 7.62x39 at the shop and this gun was much nicer overall. Nice heavy receiver, solid feel, and tight tolerances. My only complaint would be the lack of a chrome lined bore, but I knew that going in on a "Yugo". Already bought a scope and side mount for this bad boy and will be taking it to the range this Sunday to see how it performs with the 20" barrel.
