Smooth to shoot and by the time I bought it was really at good price.

The finish and craftsmanship of this gun is that of a much more expensive handgun. Pleasantly surprised. If you're on the fence and wondering if you should make this purchase by all means do so now before they're all gone and the price goes up. Loves +p ammo too. Fires well, no issues there. Looks great and functions great for the price. No good reason not to get yourself one in my opinion.

I'm very pleased. Rarely do I purchase the "cheapest" product, in the case of this pistol, and Bud's great black Friday deals I bought the Tisas. It's my first 1911, the very basic series 70 design and Govt. style were right for a first 1911. Fit and finish are great, seems to be a paint that has the feel of black parkerizing, but smoother. Very nice. Time will tell on the durability. Trigger is very good and I would guesstimate it's 4 Lbs. A couple of 911 guys had a look at it when it arrived at Gators, my most excellent local FFL. Both were impressed with the Tisas. The machining is top notch, slide to frame fit is impressive. I've only run about a box of hardball through it. Had some feed issues with the first 3-5 magazines through. As stated earlier, it's tight. The last couple magazines fired were fine. Was just plinking with that box, I'll get it on paper next range trip. I was hitting what I aimed at when plinking. Well I now know why the 1911 has a cult. The Tisas is my first.....and this pistol rates 5 stars.

iv shot some cheap target rounds in this gun, 150 to be exact as of now and i have no complaints on this 1911. i get 1 inch grouping at 30ft 230 grain winchesters. my defense rounds are hornady. buds was quick shipping, cheaper than others.

Very well made series 70 pistol. Excellent machine work . Extra mag included as well as a nice case. Strng mainspring and recoil spring. Finish is flawless .Just an excellent weapon for an excellent price and excellent service from buds

As always buds service is top notch! The tisas is a great gun for the price. The trigger pull / reset is better than i expected. The machining is fabulous. If you want a good 1911 and you don't want to drop a thousand bucks this is the one to get.

WOW... What a deal. I dont believe a person could find a better 1911 at twice the price. I am pretty disappointed in the trigger tho...This model was suppose to have a trigger upgrade. If Im not sure I would call a 9ib trigger and upgrade. I took it apart and cleaned up the trigger and got it down to 7.5 lbs... still more work to do. But the trigger breaks so clean with nearly no take up... its not as noticeable. I have fired about 200 rounds of cheap Wolf ammo and it never missed a beat. The Factory sites suck... Im working on figuring out some replacment. Ill ad to this review when I figure them out. I love the gun.... I dont have a lot to compare it to. Its my first 1911.

The Tisas 1911 is a great pistol with a very good trigger action. Fit and finish are excellent. It came with a blue plastic case with the "Emperor" double-eagle logo. "ZIG M1911" appears on the lower left side of frame and the Emperor double-eagle logo is on right side of slide toward the rear. Reset is audible with very little travel. There was no grit at all, just a clean break -- sweet! I was very pleased with the accuracy, with 1-hole silver dollar size groups at closer ranges. There were a couple minor feed issues during the first 25 rounds but not after so far, using the supplied magazines. The magazines have polymer followers and seem okay for range practice. I did also try a Wilson Combat heavy duty 1911 magazine with no issues. The grip safety ends in a simple spur rather than a wide beavertail, about the same width as the hammer, with a 90-degree angle along the spur. With a tight grip, this caused slight irritation to the web of the hand after a 100-round session, but this should be resolved by either toughening up the skin with practice or I may try wrapping a spot of electrical tape around the lower surface of the spur. Added some fluorescent paint to the small front sight. Pistol seems very well built. Very pleased with the purchase. Really like the retro look, reminds me of my service days many years ago.

A great gun for the price! It is on par with much more expensive 1911's in accuracy, fit and reliability!

Received my Tisas in 3 days. It was flawless upon arrival. Cleaned it and put 50 rounds thru it without a single failure. Quite accurate at 15 yards. Exceptional pistol for the price. Kudos to Tisas and Buds. I'll buy again.

This is my second purchase from buds and they are great.I picked it up from ffl 2 weeks ago and was impressed with fit/finish this is my first 1911 and i love it.I put 100 rounds though it with no problems trigger is crisp,recoil is very manageable,grips are ok the sights are not the best,but at this price.if your on the fence about buying this firearm just do it you will not be disappointed.

fast shipping very nice pistol and very good price. I shot half a box of rem 230 fmj with no failures and 2 1/2" groups at 25 yards with a shakey rest. I loaded some 250 gr cast bullets with 6 gr of unique and got about a 1 1/2" group at 25 yards. So far I am pretty impressed

It's a beautiful 1911. Strong, little heavy in weight but for the price is amazing. Looks exacly like the 1911 Colt I'd used in Desert Storm in 1991. Haven't shot it yet but for what I feel when in my hands I know will stand for it name. Totally recommended.

The machining quality is top notch. I have not been able to fire it yet because upon closer inspection, I discovered a crack in the metal of the barrel, right in the chamber.

My Tisas shipped very quickly and came in perfect condition. Buds has hit a homerun with this offering. This pistol is beautiful. The slide is tight and it's machined very well. I've not had a chance to take it out to shoot yet.

I read and watched all the reviews for the Tisas .45 acp 1911 and took a gamble. WOW what a deal! This weapon is built with the fit and finish of one you would expect to give 2 or 3 times the amount paid. I ordered a few wilson accessories to dress it up and it not only performs amazing but looks it as well. 5 stars for the price and 5 stars for the quality. I am satisfied to say the least.

This Tisas 1911 exceeded my expectations! Fit and finish were very good. Internal machining was very good; the slide to frame fit was perfect and the barrel to bushing tolerance was also very good. The trigger breaks at 4.5 lbs and breaks like a glass toothpick with almost no overtravel and no gritty feel. Function was perfect with Win white box 230 grain ammo. It also fed 185gr lead semi wadcutters, very well. The Tisas sights were dead on with 230gr Win ammo. The gun is more accurate than I can hold, at 15 yds I fired 1"x2" group using target ammo and a two-handed hold. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and I plan on buying another.

Honestly, for the price I wasn't expecting much...but wow! The fit and finish of this 45 is actually amazing! I had read good and bad reviews of this particular pistol so I took a chance, and I'm glad I did! I bought a RIA a couple years ago as a budget-minded firearm and thought it was a good deal, but this gun is better in every way!

Very happy with this. Aluminum, Steel and Brass cases Not a single jam, ftf or fte., But a beavertail grip safety Is a good idea.

I am amazed at the quality of this firearm...Frame to Slide fit is solid...The finish is parkerized and is excellent...The Walnut grips are great looking as well.,,The Trigger is excellent ..4 pounds and smooth. Let me make this short and sweet...I would put this gun against MUCH higher priced 1911's...best money i have ever spent on any weapon. Let me give you this advice...Buy this before Buds runs out of them...you will be very glad you did....Great job Tisas!!

Have not got to shoot it yet, looking forward to it. Tisas looks and feels great.
