Bought this because I wanted to have a semi-auto small game (squirrel / nuisance) 22LR rifle to which I could attach my suppressor. I loved the magpul stock: light and durable, also love the grip angle as it gives me a more positive trigger pull (squeeze). Out of the box, I shot a couple dozen rounds through without much concern about sighting the gun, but it seemed in the ballpark at 20 yards. I put on a Bushnell red dot I had laying around, and sighted the gun for 50 yards. IT'S A TACK DRIVER. I shot all kinds of .22 I had (mostly Federal plink ammo) and this rifle ate it all up without ever failing: no eject failure or feeding. Once I put on my Sparrow 22 and shot sub-1100fps ammo through, this gun became Hollywood quiet. Accuracy did change some, with the pattern at 50 yards becoming greater, but still within a 4 inch group. My only complaint about this purchase was getting ONLY ONE 10-round magazine. I bought a Ruger BX-25 at the FFL dealer, but shooting 10 rounds out of this gun is too easy and too little. Even 25 goes fast. TOO MUCH FUN. One thing I don't like (or I guess not used to) is how the bolt does not lock back on an empty magazine, so you're always dealing with the anti climatic *CLICK* when you're out of ammo. It's fine as I read Rugers 10/22s are designed to be dry-fired, but I'm totally not used to this, being accustomed to the Ruger Mark IV which does lock back on empty. Seems silly the same company designs a semi-auto that does not lock back on empty. Well, another thing that is finicky (just me not being used to I guess) is the action lock open mechanism: pulling back on the little thingy to lock action open, and pushing down on the front of the same little tab to release (while holding bolt back to release pressure) seems too finicky for me, but oh well, I still love this plinker, and shoot it all the time. The price point is perfect: great value.

I got this rifle a week or so ago. Very good quality and fun to shoot. I put 200 or so rounds through and was very happy especially with CCI mini mags and BX-25 mag. My brothers and I have had a lot of stuff over the years but I have to say this takedown Magpul 10 22 is truely exceptional. Also, buy from Buds you won't regret it. This is my fitfh buy not counting ammo or mags etc.

Best looking takedown 22LR Ruger to me. Q&A for the backpack bag is VERY misleading.... This item #21189, does NOT come with the Ruger Backpack. (which is one of the reason I chose this one... oh, well.)

Rifle came exactly as expected. There was no take down bag as noted in the Q & A.

Perfect 22 plinking rifle. Magpul furniture is very nice as always. Hi-viz sights are very bright and easy to acquire. Scope rail is easy to attach. Sits up 3/8 inch off top. Trigger is crisp. Takedown is a little stiff but I'm sure will loosen up with use.
