I've had one of these for over 40 years. Can't count the number of deer it's dropped.

Descent lever action. Descent price. Fairly accurate at range depending on the weight of the ammo. This is a great rifle for young/beginner's deer rifle.

Great gun nice groups on target

Awesome firearm, reliable, accurate as heck with Hornady ammo. Love the short stock, great to use in deer blind, carry, and hunting hogs. Sent off to MagnaPort to have barrel ported being it is short barrel and now very mild recoil/rise!

This beauty is a great deer rifle. Solid and reliable.

Great Rifle for the money.

Wife and I love to shoot this rifle. Action is smooth, perceived recoil is low, very accurate out of box, easy to carry and quite enjoyable all the way around. Highly recommended!

Scope is very accurate out of the box. Love the smooth finish on the stock. Very manageable recoil.

NEVER EVER USE THEIR FINANCE PLAN!!!!! It’s a company out of California that is there to screw you completly over! If you’re are not able to pay it off in the amount of days off you chose then their interest sky rockets!!! I paid mine off prior to that problem but wanted to help someone out, let’s say you pay 2k, you will pay like 6k in interest with this company!!! Other than that, I love this gun and buds delivered again!!!

Great rifle. Have used it several times. Never a problem. Bud's great to deal with.
Give them all needed info five days later you are shooting new rifle. Just that easy.
Will use Bud's again.

Marlin, Do I need say more? Very happy with the 3030 . Mine came with 3-9-32 scope. It is fuctional but is NOT what my Nikon is. Did come with a hammer spur and tiny hex wrench. I wish it came with shoulder strap.......but no. Overall, very happy.

Haven't had a lot of time testing since I just picked this up after California's waiting period. However, the fit and finish seems very good and it has fired flawlessly! Bud's was fantastic as always. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a firearm at this price point.

As usual, from the firearm purchase to the shipping/receiving from BUDS was OUTSTANDING! Have purchased several firearms over the years and have always had great experiences with BUDS, and will continue to purchase from BUDS. The Henry 30-30 received had nice wood furniture and the lever action was very smooth. Scope was nice as well.

Gun was in pretty bad shape when I got it. Loose trigger assembly, crooked mag tube, hammer and lever were loose and the lever would lock up when trying to load a round with or without ammunition in the tube. There is also a substantial gap where the wood and metal meet. Not matched very well either. Sent to Remington and they were able to fix the mechanical issues. Very poor QC from them initially though.

The Marlin 336W I received was in overall great condition. The rifle had no rough marks. Action seems very smooth. Planning on taking it to the range soon so basing this review on how it arrived. The scope that it comes with, while basic, looks to be secure and rugged enough for its purpose. Only issue was on of the scope caps had cracked inside the box. Since I did not buy the rifle for the scope it came with and the scope itself appears to have no damage I did not find this to be a huge issue when accepting the rifle from my FFL. Overall it appears to be I got a good rifle for a good price.

I love this Marlin very solid and very accurate right right out of the box and the scope is top notch too.

The gun is just as advertised. The gun is solid & ghe scope is great too. I don’t think you’ll find a gun scope combo with a better price point. Very happy with this purchase.

The fit and finish of the wood stock and fore end left something to be desired, but the finish on the barrel, receiver, and magazine tube were as described and very good. The buckhorn sight seemed a little off center, which I confirmed after shooting it, as it shot a little left of point of aim. Perhaps an oversight, as the gun came with a mounted scope. All in all, a solid value for the money. Bud's service excellent, as always.

I purchased this 30-30 marlin lever action for a family member for Christmas. Me and my grandsons took it to the range to sight it in. The quality of the gun is very good and buds was quick on shipping as always. The only problem was the no name scope on the rifle. The scope was off about six inches or so and we could not adjust it to bring it in to zero. I was not surprised because it did not look like a quality scope. Lucky for me I had a few Nikon 3 to 9 scopes I had bought on sale recently .after install of a Nikon scope it was no problem to zero and was very pleased with the rifles performance. Great gun lousy scope great price and service as always from buds. I would reccomend rifle but with a scope overhaul.

I ordered a Marlin 30-30 Lever action rifle for my sons birthday. I used the layaway option and it worked great. Great rifle, great transaction with Buds. I'm sure I'll have something else on layaway shortly. In fact if it weren't for the layaway option I'm not sure I would have purchased it from Buds.

If you're like me and wanted a xmas present for somebody read this first ! Remington (marlin) has NOT got the quality problems under control ! I own several older marlins but needed one for my sons to hunt with and after reading some of the reviews I thought Marlin (remington) had their problems behind them. I just received the rifle today (12-01-2017) and thought I had looked it over well enough at my ffl dealer. Until I removed the scope and seen that the front sight sits at about 1 o'clock. That would explain why this rifle is cheaper than most of their other models and comes with a cheap scope. (Helps hide the blems) The action works fine but I don't think I have ever been this disappointed after purchasing a gun and will try to get this returned ASAP. With craftsmanship like this I will stick with the competitors lever actions. Does remington even have a quality inspector ? As for Buds , they are great to work with , great prices and fast shipping. Return customer here.

BUDS IS THE BEST....Marlin 30/30 336W is a great shooting gun. If your looking for a lever action 30/30 buy it. You want be disappointment.

First lever action gun and I couldn't be happier. Scope worked although it took a bit of shooting. fantastic lever gun, great value.
