I purchased this Ruger Ranch Rifle in 7.62x39 because of the price, caliber and ability to mount muzzle accessories. The ability to use larger capacity Mini-30 magazines is an added bonus. It will be used as a truck/UTV gun on feral hogs and coyotes at our ranch in Texas. This rifle received a new Leupold VX2 3x9x40 and was sighted in with Winchester 123 grain soft points. The rifle is very accurate at 100 yards, cycles easily and has low recoil. I wish that Ruger would produce this rifle in a stainless-steel version just to reduce the wear and tear that will naturally occur on the finish but I am otherwise extremely happy with this product.
