I got the 12ga model. With the mini-shells you gain a shot and it is way more control able. I really enjoy it.

Great gun ! I love the style and the size. The only complaint I have with this gun is the safety location. The recoil can catch you thumb due to the location, have to be aware ! Other than that , no issues. Very accurate and easy to handle. Not big and bulky. No issues other than what I mentioned earlier about the safety switch. You wont be disappointed !

Absolutely love this thing; can't get enough of it! After about 200 rounds of various brands, zero malfunctions. Am now also considering getting another one in 12 gauge (maybe also in .410). The Buds shopping experience has never failed me over the past 20+ years! If on the fence about this specific gun, go ahead & take the plunge; I can't imagine you being disappointed. I have been wanting a Shockwave and a 20 gauge for quite a while but due to crazy pandemic prices and availability I have been putting that off. I finally found this Shockwave model in stock and not crazy expensive. I honestly thought this firearm would be kind of a fun range novelty but after shooting it I must say it is pretty practical, accurate and easy to shoot in terms of recoil. Straight from the FFL I took it to my back yard range and fired about 50 rounds of buckshot to break it in. I could only get 4 2 3/4 inch shells in the tube in the begining but eventually was able to get 5 in. Cycling was gritty but functional but then again I did not clean and lubricate prior to shooting. It smoothed out quite a bit after around 20 shells. Accuracy was ok, I had to get a feel for the point of aim and where to hold to hit a steel plate at 7 yards. Once I got that down it rang every shot with many pellets hitting the target. It was shorter than expected and very soft in the recoil department. Much easier to deal with than my 12 gauge, even without the shoulder stock. After firing this I honestly see it as much more than a novelty, I see it as a legitimate home defense firearm. Breakdown and cleaning is as easy as a full size shotgun, actually a bit easier. I would highly recommend this firearm for it's handiness, reliability, stopping power and practicality.
