This is my second Legion pistol first is a Sig P220 10mm amazing pistol, couldn’t pass up on the deal for the P229 Legion granted this one does not have the option for an optic but the X-Ray sights are fantastic. Great deal from Buds.

HAVE BEEN WANTING THIS GUN FOR A FEW YEARS NOW AND FINALLY PULLED THE TRIGGER ON IT FOR A GREAT PRICE! BUT THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS HOW IT WAS ADVERTISED. I LIKE THE LEGION GREY BUT WAS REALLY EXPECTING THE STAINLESS STEEL VERSION THAT WAS PICTURED. OTHER THAN THAT, I'M VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE.

I ve been holding off on buying this model because it was always too expensive for my budget but somehow Buds is able to sell this model for this price. This is by far the best price I’ve ever seen for a new P229 Legion. Ordered it on Tuesday and picked it up from the FFL on Friday!! Super happy with the gun and with Buds Gun Shop!!

My first time making a firearm purchase online. It was a smooth and I must say quick transaction. I paid for it that Monday evening, it arrived at my FFL that Thursday of the same week. As for the gun itself, it was a very nice investment if I may say so myself. I took it to the range and put 500 rounds through it in one day and there were no issues whatsoever. I would definitely do business with Bud's again. I'm very pleased with my Sig P229 Legion. Also, when I called Sig to register it, they sent me a free gun bag and a Legion coin. I have not fired an sig sauer p229 or p226. Purchased this legion due to great price and have nothing but positive comments to say. Pistol shoot very accurately and is smooth. I have put red dots on my carry pistols and must say these iron sites are awesome. Can recommend this pistol without hesitation.

This was a painless process. I had a pistol to trade and Buds gave a fair offer so i jumped. I have wanted this for a long time and the process could not have been easier. Took the legion p229 to the range the day i received it and it was fantastic. Recoil was at a minimum and it was shooting to point of aim out of the box.

Buds gun shop had the Sig P229 Legion for the best price I could find anywhere. The shipping to my dealer was fast. The Sig is beautiful.

I will say the P229 Legion is a very smooth shooter, trigger is amazing and the X-ray sights are a positive! unfortunately I had to send this back to SIG for warranty. After 300 rounds the frame showed significant finish wear which for the so called “amazing” PVD finish is not so amazing or resilient!!!!

The gun I received was exactly as advertised - it's an amazing pistol to shoot, not too difficult to conceal if you're really wanting to conceal a full-size gun [come on people, we all know this thing isn't exactly "compact"], and it operates flawlessly. I even threw in 150 rounds of some really cheap steel cased ammo and it ate the box without a single malfunction. And yes, the finish seems to wear down a tad quicker than other normal finished on guns but I really don't care - that comes with actually training with your gun regardless. If you buy it for the finish, you probably shouldn't be shooting it anyway. Only one complaint about when I received, which isn't a quality complaint, just a minor inconvenience... when I pulled it out of the box and out of the bag, this thing had more oil on it than anything I've ever seen in my life - it was so oiled I couldn't even pull the slide back. The shop who did the transfer actually got me a few paper towels just to wipe it down so I could check everything to make sure it was in good condition before I accepted the transfer; it's like Sig just opened a bottle of oil and dumped it in the bag like they were marinating a steak or something... weird. Also, the case and coin Sig sends you is cool and all, but the case itself is literally pointless. You already have a case that has an actual handle to carry the firearm to and from destinations. The thermal mold or whatever it is looks and feels like it's just a display case for safequeens. No handle, it's technically "soft" shell, and literally inconvenient to use unless you're just displaying your new toy. Now, as far as Buds... don't order your gun from here. Just don't do it. I've never ordered a gun online before and this was a bloody nightmare. I did layaway and made 5 or 6 payments in a 2 month's time. All the payments cleared my account within 24 hours but whatever financial systems Buds uses apparently takes around 3-4 days for them to "receive" the money even though the money is taken from me almost immediately. Whatever though, it's layaway so I wasn't too worried about it. But then I made the final payment and things got real irritating real fast. The final payment took over a week to process, in which the only reason I believe it finally got "finalized" in their system is because I called customer service and politely asked "wtf", and then 2 days AFTER the payment was finalized by Buds, they told me the FFL I was having it sent to was expired and that I needed to have the FFL send a current copy of their license to Buds... seriously? I have to update your business' FFL license records FOR you? Isn't it Buds' responsibility to have their FFL's updated if it's going to be on their green list? Wouldn't that be something that a business should be keeping up on? If it was a private FFL, I understand this. But something on their green list, a place people frequently have orders sent to, needs to be taken care of by the business instead of making the customers do it because that inevitably furthers delaying their order even though they just dropped over $1000 dollars on a purchase... So, definitely buy a Sig P229 Legion if you can find a way to swing the money, but don't buy from Buds. Terrible first time online buying experience. Would give 5 stars for the product if I had found it elsewhere.

Brings new meaning to the cliché - lot better gun than I am a shooter. Interesting note: my Legion PVD finish seemes to be undercoated or primed with a goldish finish, similar to a P229 Combat FDE color. Also, interestingly; with over 300 rounds, the barrel looks brand new; like, no kidding, no wear AT ALL - the feed ramp still looks factory finished - weird. All things considered, I would say it lives up to the Legion hype - and that’s saying A LOT, considering the amount of hype. Thanks again Bud’s!

Fast and Excellent service from Bud's as always. What can I say about the Legion ? coming from shooting striker fire guns in the past 20 years, I noticed I had developed some habits that don't apply when shooting DA/SA guns, that being said, for now I am practicing and practicing and so far this is my most favorite gun..... Shoots well, accurate and looks amazing. I have now ran close to 800 rounds and so far flawless. The only complaint I have is the finish of the gun and all my gun cleaners are chemicals are made for guns and be careful what you use , the finish is very picky and fades very quickly , I found out after cleaning if I massage the entire gun ( except for the grips) with some light oil, the beautiful finish comes back but still there are 2 areas that has what almost looks like the finish has peeled. Does not bother me too much but I would expect at least a better durability. However the gun is still 5 Star in my opinion.

The gun that I was shipped had a horrible finish, after I wiped off the packing grease I was disappointed by what I saw.. I oiled it up like I've read that this finish needs and it was no better. Sig customer service was real great.. When I confirmed that I had cleaned up & oiled the gun several times and the finish was no better. I was sent a packing label and returned the gun to Sig.. Sig agreed that the finish was sub par and replaced the gun. Turn around time was less than 3 weeks but it bugged me that I was required to to cover the cost for the FFL fees for the new gun but was able to keep the magazines which came with the first gun so the fees were offset. In the end I have a great gun but the first gun should have never left the factory.

Beautiful gun. What else is there to say? Best shooting double action pistol out of the box I have ever used. Worth the price.

This Sig P229 is the Cadillac of all 9MM handguns. It fits my hand like it was made just for me. The material in the grips are perfect and the balance of the gun is also perfect. It shoots so smooth. Also, the decoking device is very nice to have. The trigger is smooth and you can fire super fast. Just to look at the gun is a work of art. After receiving the pistol, call Sig to register and they will sent you (free) a Legion coin and very nice carrying case made for the Legion P229. To field strip is the easiest of all my hand guns. I own a lot of guns including Colt and Kimber, this one is by far my favorite.
