Nice gun for the money. I compare it to my Smith Model 360 .38 with Scandium frame. It weighs less than 2 ounces more than the Smith, but the Smith is $130+ more expensive. The single-action trigger is great, but the double action is way too tight (thanks to the litigators) just like the Smith. I installed a set of springs from Wolff that cost me less than $20 inc. shipping. These springs transformed this pistol into a SWEET double-action piece! I HIGHLY recommend this modification for any new pistol, as most of them from any manufacturer is going to have a heavy 11-14 lb.trigger because of liability fears. I had to cut 2 coils off of the shorter trigger return spring, because it was too long to allow the trigger to release in single-action mode, but Wolff warned me that I may have to do so. I now have a 6.5 lb DA trigger pull which feels just right. I am very impressed with Taurus. The model 8529ULGR is my 5th Taurus purchase in the last 2 uears. I also own a PT145 Millenium, PT140 Millenium, Taurus Slim 9MM, and a Taurus Judge. These are all great, reliable, accurate handguns comparable with other brands costing substantially more $.
