The nut on the end of the barrel that locks the outer sleeve in place and tensions the barrel started coming loose almost immediately. It went back to the factory for repair and I was assured it would be corrected. That nut is still unscrewing (can't tell that they tightened it when it came back from the factory).

Like alot of others, this is my first purchase from Buds, I LOVE this revolver! As is usual with a S&W wheel gun, the trigger is superb and the cylinder timing is impecable. As usual, Bud's has THE best pricing on the web or on the street.

I purchased this gun from Buds as my first purchase with the intentions of making it my primary HD gun. Buds is great, but the revolver has problems. It completely lock-up after just 37rds. Faulty IL probably. The flag is down, but the trigger is stuck. I needed to use the key to clear the problem. That lock is my only complaint. S&W is sending me a prepaid box to fix the problem. This is an ugly situation for $1000+ revolver to be in. My trust of IL system for HD protection is shaken.

I purchased this gun from Buds as my first purchase with them. I enjoyed fast shipping and great communication. After I received it, I went to the range only to find that the firing pin wasn't functioning properly and causing light primer strikes on the ammo. I sent the gun back to Smith and Wesson and got it back within two weeks and took it to the range. The gun now functions flawlessly. I really enjoy the performance center action job that is done as part of this gun. It is a big gun with little heft. Overall I really enjoy it.
