S&W 627 Pro .357 Mag 4" AS Stainless 8 Shot
by Zachary A Date Added: Saturday 06 August, 2011
This is a fabulous gun if you like revolvers like I do, and eight rounds! You barely notice 38s and 357s are cake. The day after I got the 627, I shot 100 rounds of each with no problems ejecting cases or with anything else. The moon clips seemed to hold onto the brass a bit loose, but then I don’t have a lot of experience with moon clips. No problem, you can shoot the 627 without moon clips. The single action is superb and has to be experienced to be appreciated. I will need more practice with the double action on this large-frame revolver, but that will be the fun part. To boot, the gun looks great and not as heavy as it appears. I wouldn't say this gun is a bargain, what with gun prices having gone up so much in the last 2 years and I see Bud's raised the price $25 since I ordered mine in July, but Bud's is very price competitive. I looked and couldn't find one for less. I have a Bianchi 111 Cyclone holster, but its thumb break goes over the top of the hammer instead of coming over behind, so have to keep looking for a holster.
