Nice gun it will hang up if it gets very dirty at all. But fun to shoot really loud tho.

First and last Savage I will ever own warning the A17 has several problems. First of all the bluing on my rifle comes off when you wipe down the barrel regardless of the type of oil used and the same problem on another new one at a local gun shop. Second the magazine falls out and does not fit tight causing the gun to jam or not cycle the next round. Third the trigger is a joke if you adjust it to the lower specified pull weight it has a lot of creep but if you don't mind a heavy trigger pull it's a little better.

Havnt shot a rifle,since I was in the service. Good with a shotgun,hand gun,I'm ok. But the A17 savage,made shooting a new hobby for me. I'm impressed with the patterns I can hold,for as bad as my eyes are. Excellent product,good price.

I mounted a vortex 3x9 scope on this gun and after sighting it in, I can cover the pattern with a quarter no matter what ammo I use. The rifle functions very well and is fun to shoot. Would recommend this to anybody looking for a small caliber semi-auto varmint rifle.

I purchased a Savage A17 and I want to say that this is the sweetest little shooter I have ever owned. Took it out to the range and shot the center out of the target. I did find that the larger capacity magazines work better than the standard 10 round that comes with the gun. The sale was very smooth and I was notified all the way through the transaction the status of my purchase. The local FFL dealer was very good to work with and very friendly and a very smooth transfer. There is no question in my mind that in the future all my weapons purchases will be done the same way through Bud's..
