What an outstanding .30-06. Bud's FIVE STARS; Savage FIVE STARS This firearm was fitted with a VORTEX VIPER PST GEN II Scope. She is pulling 2" groups at 250 meters. I'm using a hand-load 165 grain Speer. The fit and finish are what I would expect from a high-end rifle. The bolt action is certain, steady, and firm. The safety is top notch, and the laminated stock is incredible. The price point was so good, that my local FFL dealer could not purchase the firearm for what Bud's sold it to me for at the cash price. I'm 62, and have been shooting since I was 4 years old. This is the quintessential .30-06. I would purchase this over my other mid-upper range rifles because of what I'm getting for my dollar. I cannot say enough bput this rifle. WELL DONE Bud's and Savage!

Very pleased with the over all experience of my purchase. I got exactly what I wanted and in a timely manner. Took my new rifle out for a test drive and absolutely love it! I will be using Buds again in the future and would highly recommend them.

I am EXTERMLY happy with my purchase. The gun itself is 5 out of 5 stars. It is so accurate it's not funny. I would recommend this to my friends and family. Shipping with Buds was very fast and will buy from again. If your thinking about this Stop and just buy you won't regret it.

Gun shoots great and accurate feels good with thumbhole stock great anchor point . but very heavy and i had a hard time finding a scope to mount on it because of the distance from ring to ring scope tube to short on my nikon monarch. went with a weaver off set ring on the front and my zeiss scope worked i suggest a rail but will hender top loading of course.
