Ruger LCP 3701 6+1 380ACP 2.75"
by Ian R Date Added: Tuesday 20 December, 2011
First off, this is the second gun I have purchased through Buds on a layaway plan and it has been a great experience each time. Fast, and exactly as advertised.

The Ruger LCP is a TINY little pistol. I can't get over how small and light it is. It weighs about the same as a loaded 8 round magazine for my 9mm Hi Point. That's insane.

This gun was for my wife to get her CCW. She has only fired a gun once before in her life before shooting the Ruger LCP. On her 3rd magazine through the gun, she hit an 8.5X11 target 5 times out of 6 at 25 yards. That's pretty awesome for such a tiny gun.

We ran 50 rounds of "cheap" (i don't consider ANY .380 ammo to be actually CHEAP) Federal ammo from Wal-Mart through it and it ate it all like a champ.

I love how this gun breaks down for cleaning. All you need is a flathead screwdriver, or some small, thin tool of some type. You might want to use something softer than a screwdriver so you don't scratch the gun. The pin comes out very easy, so it could probably be a plastic tool and work just fine. Once that little pin is out, it breaks down very easily for cleaning.

It is a very simple design, yet very impressive.

I have a friend who also owns a Ruger LCP, and he loves it as well. Ive shot his, and have seen him shoot his on multiple occasions. Never had a problem.

I think this is a very reliable and accurate gun. I would trust our life with it. It is tiny, and very light. A guy can carry it in his pocket no problem. A woman in tight jeans will need to figure out a different way to carry it, however.

I got my wife an ankle holster for it....

Thanks Buds, and Ruger for making such an awesome little pistol.
