Handy little 44 mag lever action that is a joy to shoot. What impressed me the most was its accuracy: one hole at 50 yards. Only complaint is the metal butt plate after a box of full house 44 mags easily corrected).

This rifle now has around 150-200 rounds thru it; Loaded with 240 grain everglades ammo soft tip (.431) , cci 350 primers and 23.5 grains of H110, as well as, 200 grain Nosler HP (.429), cci 350 primers and 27.7 grains of H110. Action was gritty at first, and loading gate stiff; however, after working it these, issues have all but disappeared. There are some cosmetic issues, as expected. The front sight is thick and makes grouping shots difficult at 50yards. Came missing brass bead. (I plan on replacing sights, magazine follower, and plugins the bolt safety) Found surface rust on lever. I love this thing!!! The felt recoil is dramatic and has caused two "tough" guys to comment that there shoulders remembered the experience for several days after shooting 16 rounds of those smoking 200 grain loads.... Also, the firing pin hits hard, causing a pinhole in the center of the strike of around 3 in 10 rounds fired, which may be why I have seen people discuss installing a lighter trigger spring? I don't think this is caused by over pressure, as the overall condition of the fired primers are consistent over both the afore mentioned loads.

Excellent lever gun. The recoil is quite manageable. The accuracy is more than I could ask for, seriously. The accuracy of this rifle out the box is stellar. It's a ton of fun to shoot. Rossi 92's rock. Thanks Buds for offering the three month layaway option, and for getting the rifle to my FFL dealer so promptly. I look forward to doing business with Buds again.

Beautiful little rifle. Nice action for a $400+ rifle, could use some work anyway just to make it like snot on glass. Looking forward to the first boxes of ammo, hope it works as well as the reviews I have seen.

I purchased this rifle as a cartridge match to single action revolver. the gun shoots great and i have had not feeding issues what so ever. The only issue i have found is that the LOP feels a little short to me, not that big of deal though as i have built a leather but pad that adds about an inch which is what i needed to make it more comfortable.

This Rossi 44 Trapper was one of the best buys I have made in years. It is so much more accurate than my Marlin 1894 that I sold the Marlin. My bore mikes out at .430 vs my Marlin which was .434. The wood coloring wasn't too great but I refinished it and it is fine now. I had a front band screw break (it must have been glued in from the factory) and called customer service and they sent one in a couple of days. The small size works well for pigs. I put an aftermarket rail on it that allows me to use either a Bushnell TRS 25 red dot or a 2-7x32 LER scope. With Hornady 240gn HTP and 23.0 of WW296, I can shoot cloverleafs at 100 yards from a rest.

I was eagerly awaiting my Rossi M92 after getting it out of Bud’s layaway program. I picked it up from my local ffl with no problems. The rifle was excellent in fit, finish and function. No scratches or dings and the lever action was very smooth. Problems started however when I tried sighting in the rifle. It shot very high at 50 yards and could not be compensated for with the standard buckhorn sights. After searching the internet I found this is a common problem with the Rossi M92 and there are at least a couple of companies dedicated to supplying aftermarket sights for this gun. To make a long story short I finally ended up with a RedDot scope on it and now it’s finally sighted in. However after about a hundred rounds failure to feed problems started showing up. It’s a $500 disappointment so I’m only giving it 2 stars.

Buds was great (ofcourse)! Rossi has really stepped it up a notch. I was honestly a little nervous having had a bad history with Taurus revolvers and seeing how off Brazilian manufacturing can be. When I first looked at this rifle it was small, really compact. Absolutely perfect in size and weight for a truck gun or small bush/camp carbine. The fit and finish is great. Light years better than a Remlin 336 I recently sold. Great bluing, nice tight fit between wood and receiver nothing loose all the screws were seated well and sites were nice and straight. Wood was very nice, no complaints. Even full of packing grease the rifle cycled smoothly. As smooth if not smoother than a pre-Remington Marlin I used to own in 44mag. I cleaned it and cycled 6 snap caps through it and it was smooth, no hang ups, minimal effort, nice positive feed and nice positive ejection. Stock Trigger is great, a little take up, no creep crisp break I would say at around 5-6lb's guesstimate. I don't feel the need for any work on this rifle other than eventually a aftermarket mag spring and steel follower. For now I am running it stock. So all I can say is WOW! Just ear to ear smiling. My FFL was really impressed as well, although he has a stainless Rossi he hunts with in 45-70 that he loves. This was just an all around a smolen' deal. I was so enthused I just ordered a Rio Grande in 30-30 so I can get a squared away Marlin haha!

Very nice little rifle. Arrived within 2 day of shipment. Packed well and undamaged. High quality finish and a very smooth action. Very happy with the quality and the price.

I'm really happy with it. Took it out this weekend and set up a paper plate at 100 yards, grouped within the plate without a rifle rest, which is very good for this old man. Smooth action, looks as good as my Winchester.

I hesitate in buying this gun, only because I haven't ever owned a Rossi. I was able to get my hands on one, and put a few rounds down range, and just fell in love with it. In 3 days, from order to receipt, I'm a proud new owner! Thanks again Buds! I have found that it shoots about two inches high at 50 yds, but dead-on at 75 yds. It makes a nice addition to my deer arsenal, its easy to carry and fun to shoot. I was very impressed with the smooth action. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the hammer safety located on top of the bolt carrier. It's not difficult to manipulate, just in a awkward location and the selector tab is quite small if you're wearing any kind of gloves.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this rifle. I've read reviews where they say the finish or materials are so-so. Not so, I love this thing. Well-made and I will buy another in a heartbeat. I used to be a fan of the Winchester Trapper 16" in a 30-30, but I like the look of this one more. Thank you Buds for making this happen!

It works pretty well and it feels great to carry around. My only complaint is that it shoots high with everything but heavy handloads on the lowest sight setting. It does however make a good group and dropped a buck on the spot a few months back so it's alright by me.

This is my 8th firearm from Buds, I never had to call or talk to them on the phone, I always did the entire transaction online with no problems. This little carbine is the coolest thing since ice cream! It shoots my cast handloads very accurately and it feels like carrying a 44mag pistol with a 16" barrel. The action seems to be smoothing up with less than 100 mag loads.
