Again the weather in New England is terrible didn't get a chance to shoot this ammo Hornady is it excellent brand, I always have good results. Based on that I have to give it five stars.

Hands down the best defense ammo for 12 gauge. As well as 9mm, .38+P, .357mag & 44mag (my handguns). Shot placement is dead on accurate and very consistent. It is my go to ammo every time. The 12 gauge rounds grouping will blow your mind. Get some and see for yourself.

This is a more a review of Bud's than of the Hornady Critical Defense 12 gauge ammo. Yes, the ammo is excellent. It functions perfectly in my Rock Island Armory VRF14 firearm, which I use for home defense. And the Hornady Critical defense 12 gauge 00 buckshot ammo is ideal for that application. More to the point, I placed two order's with Bud's in December and they were both handled very well. They shipped quickly, arrived when estimated, were well packaged and protected, and were 100% correct. Those orders also included items that no one else had available, such as the Federal Premium 45-70 Government Hammerdowm ammunition. And everything was competitively priced. I have made several purchases from Bud's over the past 10 years and every one has been just like these two. As a result Bud's is my "go to" supplier.

Wanted something for my home defense 12ga and didn't hesitate long when I saw this Critical Defense Buckshot from Hornady. Haven't had a chance to try this yet but have never been disappointed in any ammo from Hornady, the worlds largest manufacturer of ammo, made here in the US.
