Springfield Armory XD® 3″ Sub-Compact 9mm
by Simon M Date Added: Saturday 15 September, 2012
I fell in love with this gun the second I shot it at the range. I researched sub compacts for about a month and shot 4 different guns before I shot the XD 9mm sc and decided this was "the one". I'm new to pistols and have applied for my CHL (TX) so if you're new to it like me, trust me when I say that you MUST feel the gun and shoot it before you buy. You'll be amazed how the guns feels and shoots in your hand once you pick the right one.

The XD in particular had amazing accuracy. I previously shot the Ruger SR9c and could not get the aim and accuracy at all. As for the XD, I shot 19 out of 20 rounds in the bull at 5 yards. Today I shot the XD I ordered from Buds and am still high from how good the shooting went. I put 200 rounds through it and did not have any problems at all (as nearly every review will tell you). Has little recoil, trigger pull is fine, balance of the gun is excellent, and the accuracy is far better than I have shot with any other gun before. The extended mag feels good in the hand; however, The regular mag does leave my pinky hanging off. I have ordered the Pearce Grip Extension from Amazon for about 10 bucks to compensate for this - I do have normal size hands, not apish and not womanly, just normal man hands...

As for Buds' service: excellent customer service, shipping is 2 business days to Texas, and prices are unbeatable. I can't believe I bought a handgun online for the first time and now am a happy owner of one of the best guns around. When I find the money, I think the XDs 45 is in order.

I can't speak for concealed carry yet for this XD sub-compact since I'm still waiting on the CHL, but other reviews all over the web cover the ease of concealed carry in great detail for this gun. Go and try this out and then buy it, you'll also be amazed with it.
