One of the best and most reliable 5.56 that I have ever shot. It may weigh more than the AR, but far superior. H&K by far makes the best rifles.

Too bad they don't have user profiles here. But anyway 30+yr gun collector and 12+yr Buds and Team Buds customer. One of my favorite brands is HK I own just about every gun they sold since the 80's I own pre-ban Mp5's and G3's. Also G36, TG36, MR762, SP89, SP94,SP5,SP5K and most handguns again since the 80's my most recent HK pistol was a .45 tactical compact. I have 2 MR556's one is a MR556 416 clone built from a 416 parts kit the other I keep NIB for my collection, only HK guns I do not own is the UMP which I dislike and the MP7 which I love. Lets face it HK products are pretty expensive as are spare parts, also many parts are proprietary so be aware of this when buying any HK firearm. From the one I do shoot its has the best fit and finish of any AR in my collection (DD,LWRC, SIG or Colt etc) and its also the smoothest shooting out of all my AR's. Its heavier than your standard DI gun but the weight helps if your shooting for groups or accuracy etc. I shoot everything from steel to match ammo thru this gun and it eats everything no problem runs suppressed fine even though it has a self regulating gas piston system. It fits standard STANAG mags, hang grips and stocks but hand guards are proprietary if I am not mistaken. The one thing I like about this gun is that you can put the gun on safe even with the hammer down. So if you want a premium German made piston AR I highly recommend it. Some always ask if its worth the $3k+ I always say price or worth is subject to the individual. For me yes its worth it as you are NOT just paying for the name and that goes for every HK firearm nothing really compares.

I will keep this review simple. After shooting it a few times I have to say it is the best rifle I have ever owned. Fit and finish was flawless. It is very accurate and I have not had a malfunction of any kind, although I have only been to the range twice with it. Very happy with my purchase.

The HK MR556, civilian model to the HK416, is a fine weapon and built like a heavy tank. It is a bit heavy at 8 pounds empty and over 9 pounds loaded. Very accurate out of the box.and never jams. The short stroke piston system is a huge advancement over the direct impingement gas system of the M4/M16. It shoots cooler and cleaner. After 500 rounds, the bolt carrier group was as clean as when I started. I can see why the Special Ops guys like this rifle. It is indestructable , reliable, but too heavy for me. I much prefer my FN SCAR.

The Heckler and Koch MR556A1 is the best out of the box AR platform money can buy , bar-none . Save the coin , buy from Buds , you'll be very satisfied . DO IT!

I bought a HK 556, I originally had it on my wish list, I was informed when they were available and I purchased it. No problems. I have purchased over a dozen firearms over the past four years with Buds and have never had a problem. You must inspect the firearm before accepting the transfer and know what you are buying, especially when you buy online and are not able to inspect the firearm. Be a smart consumer.

what can i say, it is expensive but totally worth it, i wish HK not mess with the bolt carrier( i know is to prevent full auto employment)and pls for the price they need to give you at least two of that beautiful magazines, it shots great just put 100 rounds without really zero the sights at 50 yards and the group is 1and half inch from standing and dime size from supported prone, i will take it to a proper range to see what can do with a proper zero, as well with eo-tech. BUDS as usual super professional, yes maybe 200 usd more expensive that what other sites offers, but they don't lie to you and when they tell you is in stock, it really is and 3 days later i have it at the FFL, instead other IMPACTG... sites who have you in backorder for "couple of weeks" (more like 47 days until i cancelled) so great job BUDS from now on you're my first choice for any online gun related buy.

I always check Buds 1st for just about all my firearm needs. As for my new MR556A1, well its almost mind blowing in every way. Function, operation, and the quality of this rifle is head and shoulders above every other AR platform rifle i have ever shot/held. I just purchased this 3 weeks ago. It took until yesterday to receive it, but what a beauty. The fit/finish is unmatched. I'm taking it to the range this weekend. I'm so excited! It arrived in excellent condition with all the parts and accessories. This is one solid, well built firearm.

I will review in 2 parts, customer service and product. Customer Service. This is the second firearm I've purchased from Buds's. Search around, you probably won't find a price lower than Bud's, and if you do, it probably doesn't include shipping. Ordering is a breeze with the selected FFL feature. The rifle shipped within 24 hours and arrived 72 hours later, in perfect condition with all accessories and documentation. Another flawless Bud's transaction. As for the weapon, I haven't fired it yet, only finger-banged it. I have experience with the 416, the 556 is every bit as fine a weapon. You cannot overstate the quality and attention to detail on this weapon. I will shoot this weapon using the excellent H&K diopter sight (I have an adjustment tool) with a Magpul AFG foregrip and Emags, no other bling required. Yes, it's heavy, but it's tight as a drum and rock solid. I have no doubt it will perform flawlessly. The only negative reviews you will read on this weapon is from those who can't or won't spend the money on a weapon they'd love to own. If you only have one 5.56 in your safe, it's this one - a combat proven tank of a weapon that will take whatever you can throw at it. Can't wait to hit the range. Overall a tremendously positive buying experience.

Excellent craftsmanship from hk once again! Excellent service from buds! Once you get used to the weight nicest ar platform I've fired.(I have colt, sig, and now hk) Only complaint is there is no ready-to-use sling mounts. Sig 516 gets the nod in that department.But if you can grab one there HOT and you know how that saying goes.purchase number 5-6 for me and 4 for my younger brother.Not sure if I can overpay anywhere again after finding buds!
