Bought this gun for my son. He’s had it for over five years now and still uses it today. Perfect gun for youth hunters. Easy to handle, load, and due to it being a single shot, incorporates that extra safety precaution for younger hunters. Very pleased with the delivery and product.

CVA Hunter CPT 243, I was looking to buy my petite wife a short and easy to carry Deer rifle. The CVA Hunter satisfied her needs, great fit, light recoil, and extremely accurate. Wanted this short, single shot to carry in a Gator or Samurai. It's perfect. Short, stout, accurate little gun. Good trigger. Nice butt pad to absorb recoil. Best price I found. Paired it with a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 and 100 gr. Remington Inter-lok ammo. Gun had good reviews and a buddy of mine has had a CVA in .223 for years and it shoots great. Gun does NOT come with one piece scope/ring mount as pictured. After receiving the gun I contacted Bud's and was informed that it was an old manufacturer's stock photo. The scope mount supplied/pre-mounted is a one piece rail system. You will need to purchase scope rings. Not a deal breaker, Bud's just needs to update photo. Had a couple of issues with Bud's getting my FFL dealer's info. I ordered gun in time to receive it for Christmas and contacted Bud's the next business day to insure that they received my FFL dealer's info. I was informed that they did, only to find out a few days later by checking the online "Status", that they hadn't. This delayed the shipping and it wasn't received until the day after New Year's. While I normally have no issues with Bud's Guns, I was disappointed with the FFL issue. That aside, I will give the gun itself a 5 star rating.

First off I am a man and bought this gun for myself cause I figured it would be easier to pack around the mountains and canyons where I live. Great size and anybody should be able to shoot it well. I sighted it in today and got 1" moa at 100 yds with 80 grain federal power shoks and a cheap 3x9 scope. Pretty confident I could get an even tighter group if I upgraded my scope. For $200 and a lifetime warranty you can't go wrong. In my personal opinion everybody should have a gun like this. Solid lock up and goes bang every time. Buds service was great as usual.

great little gun in 243. compact and very affordable. recoil mild. scope mount/rings included. bought this as a walking around/woods gun in case hog/black bear run in while hiking. with right bullet should do the trick. more standoff range then a pistol. very impressed. use the price match and save yourself couple of bucks, was looking at same in 44mag but it was $40 more or so. 243 hits harder then most folks give it credit for. great gun for beginner or older/smaller person with limited strength. awesome deal.

Great little gun. Son has really been on me about deer hunting this year. Bought this for his first deer gun. Low recoil. Put a Simmons scope on it. Only been out to 50 yards sighting it in but it's a tack driver.
