Walther WAP00Q40 PPQ 40 Smith & Wesson 4.1" 12+1 Synthetic G

I've had this gun about six weeks now. I sold my Glock 23 because the grip just didn't fit my hand the way I liked (my biggest dislike) and I wasn't particularly fond of the trigger even after polishing and experimenting with different connectors and springs (minor gripe). If you're like me and don't find the Glock grip to your liking you should have this gun on your short list.

This has got to be one of the nicest shooting pistols I've ever shot in my 20 years of shooting. Fit and finish is excellent and the ergonomics and trigger are amazing. The trigger feels completely different from the G23 I had. Feels almost like a 2-stage trigger: initial take-up is smooth and light (feels about a pound or so) with no stacking then you hit the high resistance point and get a very crisp break (not 1911 crisp but as good as I've felt on any out of the box non-1911 gun). European mage release is fine, I think I actually prefer it to the standard button.

This gun is a tack driver too, even in .40 S&W. I'd say recoil is comparable to the G23 I had. If you like .40 S&W there's no reason not to get this gun, it's very comfortable to shoot. And did I mention accurate?

I absolutely love this gun.
