Most accurate rifle out of the box I own!!!!

Cz rimfire rifles are some of nicest rifles out there considering their price range. The wood stocks and accuracy of their rifles are great. Have a 452 455 and the 457 models, with the 452 being my favorite wished they would bring it back.

Nice gun. Materials and workmanship above average. I would purchase any CZ product with confidence.

I haven’t shot the 17hmr barrel yet, but the 22 is very impressive in terms of accuracy. I’ve tried a number of types of ammo, it really likes cci subsonic and eley subsonic. It will shoot half inch 50 yards groups all day. It doesn’t seem to be too picky with ammo like some 22’s can be, its kept every kind of ammo I’ve tried at an inch or under and that includes cheap bulk ammo. The stock and appearance of it is amazing, best looking gun I own. The bolt was actually really rough at first. Just work it for awhile and it smooths up nice. The trigger is really good out of the box, no creep and a very clean break. It’s adjustable but I haven’t felt the need yet. I was very surprised at how fast buds shipped this gun, especially in the times were in and how busy they must be. It was literally 2 day shipping. I can’t wait to try the 17hmr out of this thing, but so far the 22 hasn’t disappointed.

Really like this little rifle. 22LR barrel very accurate even using budget ammo. Changed it out to the 17HMR barrel and sighted in at 100 yds. All shots were within the 1" bull after 3 sighters. This thing will shoot! Great trigger, a handsome wood stock and nice bluing make this little rifle a treasure to own. A great value from Bud's and a smooth transaction too.

Recently purchased and received a CZ455 American Combo 17/HMR/22LR. Out of the box the rifle was flawless. The walnut stock is nicely finished.
I used Talley scope rings to mount a Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x40 Rimfire MOA scope. Using the 17HMR barrel the rifle was "zero'ed" at 60 yards .6" above the bulls eye (at an outdoor range with a slight wind drift). I was shooting a combination of CCI 17 & 20 grain ammo. CCI ballistic charts shows I should be "zero" at 100-120 yards.
I could cover my five shot groups with a nickel. I am confident that the rifle will shoot smaller/tighter groups at 60 yards (and beyond) with a better bench rest and shooting bags. And as I get the feel for the rifle and trigger pull. In the near future I plan to confirm my confidence in the rifle at an indoor 100 yards range with better bench rest and bags.
In short, if you can find this discontinued rifle combo it would be a nice addition to your collection. The "new and improved" version is the 457 Combo but appears to be $100-$150 more. I opted to put the difference of money to a nice scope for the 455. To this point I am very happy with the rifle and without hesitation would recommend it.
This is my first 17HMR and at first blush find it to be a quality rifle for the price! Whether you buy a discontinued 455 Combo or the newer 457 combo; you will be getting a quality rifle to fit your needs within the capabilities of 17HMR/22LR rig. Keep in mind an optional .22WMR barrel is available for this combo package.

Quality and accuracy is all that needs to be said about this rifle. You get two great guns for the price of one with the option to add a 22 WMR for about $130 more. Tack driver gun at at a price well below many of its competitors

Haven’t shot the 22lr barrel yet but 17 hmr at 100 yards shoots less then 1/2 moa 5 shot group

But what else is amazing is this rifle, I bought it mainly to use the 17 HMR configuration , barrel swap is very easy and simple, the rifle's fit and finish is absolutely flawless and beautiful and 1st time out after sighting in my vortex scope , the rounds were touching each other at 50 meters.....Already ordered 2 of 10 rounds magazines.

This is a fine little rifle with a nice dense wood on the stock. The paperwork showed a representation of what the bullet group would be for each Barrel which were very close to each other, and I wrongly figured that scope zero would be very close to each other but such is not the case. The answer would be to give each bbl it's own scope. Gander mountain makes a soft case with a long zippered pouch that holds the extra bbl and a shorter pouch for the bolt and extra mags. for anyone considering a purchase of this rifle just remember that what it is is a compromise. The barrel is not truly a bull barrel although it is plenty heavy enough and very accurate. Because each Barrel has its own zero, the idea of a quick caliber change in the field isnt all that feasible, but don't get me wrong its easy. I used layaway for this gun and its great that Buds has this option. Their shipping is fast too.

This is my second (modern) CZ firearm purchase and the quality is as excellent now as it ever was. These people certainly know how to build a firearm. The amazing thing is that you get superior quality for a very reasonable price. The CZ 455 Combo is not only very pleasant cosmetically it is perfectly balanced and functions flawlessly. The barrel change over is about as simple as it could possibly be. Unlike one of the previous reviews I read I did not experience any problem with the trigger. In fact, I was impressed at how light and crisp it was. As far as accuracy goes this rifle can't be beat. You have to find the best ammunition for your particular rifle but that goes with the territory. My only issue was the 3/8" dovetail mount turns out to be smaller than most which makes finding scope rings that tighten down well a bit of a challenge. I understand from a previous review I read somewhere that CZ has an adapter available but I was unable to find it on either the Bud's site or CZ-USA. In spite of this inconvenience I still believe this rifle well deserves a five star rating.

Another flawless order from Buds. This CZ455 kit is both pretty and accurate. The wood is beautiful, and I can't believe how accurate this shoots (22lr) compared to way more expensive and longer barrel guns. It's size [short] is perfect to carry through the woods. I have not tried the 17hmr yet, but have high expectations there now too. Barrel changing is a snap as long as you have a torque wrench that can deal with the screw heads. Anyone looking to purchase anything should check CZ offerings first - long or hand guns.

First this is the 3rd gun I have bought from Bud's great service and will buy from again. Now the CZ combo great rifle,I like to be able to change the barrels, you have many choices 22Lr 22WMR 17HRM sights no sights Bull barrel. I'm a CZ fan have there pistols too! All are fine Quality. If you buy one of these rifles you will not be sorry, best of all they hold there value!

I bought this combo last month & finally got it out to shoot but the weather wasn't cooperating...gusty winds, hail, sleet, rain, snow...grin...Shot about 12 different type/brands of .22 ammo with Federal premium Target & CCI pistol match going into .370's for five shots. CCI mini mags did really well too with the exception of one flyer that could have been my fault & opened the group up to about a half inch. I still haven't tried Wolf or SK...I swapped barrels to the .17 HMR & was in for a good surprise. Both the 17 gr.Hornady V max & 15.5 NTX's were one hole 5 shot groups at 50 yds. By the time I finished my first range session, the bolt was working with a lot less gritty feel & was working pretty slick. The fit & finish of this little rifle is really nice & the ONLY real complaint was the trigger which I replaced with a Rifle Basix...Would I recommend this gun to a friend? As Sarah Palin would say...YOU BETCHA!!!
