I bought this because I wanted a pocket revolver with some extra oomph. So far it's met all my expectations: it's light, but not too light (I've shot full power magnum loads and they are reasonably manageable); with the boot grip (it comes with a full size also) it fits into a pocket easily; the fiber optic site is easy to see, and it's fairly accurate, but don't expect to hit anything with precision at longer ranges. I've put a lot of rounds in it with no problems whatsoever. All in all, a good revolver for what it's worth.

Purchased this as my conceal carry because of the hammer not fully being exposed. Highly recommend, especially with being able to shoot .38 +P.

Great gun for carrying. Lightweight & easy to hide. Had to do some work on the sights to get it to shoot where I was aiming but no big deal. Overall a great little gun

I am lucky enough to own more than a few guns, and this has been the easiest, most pleasant purchase ever. Thanks Bud's, this will not be my last. Very happy with this hand cannon from Taurus, $300 cheaper than the similar Ruger.

This is was my first gun, still is my EDC. It is impractical but it is also very easy to hold and control either pulling out of a pocket, holster, sweater etc. Hammer doesn't catch as much as you'd think. It's heavy compared to my wife's Millennium G2 9mm. Very sturdy, make sure to lube up the barrel release, it sticks sometimes from Factory. Orange sight stick almost fell out after a few shots, a hot knife fixed that. Very easy to aim, heavy trigger is a plus for newer gun owners seeing as you can't accidentally shoot it and if you drop it the gun won't go off.

Awesome grip and great sights here. The front fiber optic is really excellent and this is one of the flattest shooting guns I’ve gotten behind especially for the caliber. Highly recommend.

This was bought for my wife as a self defense weapon. Double action use, no safety, no magazine spring to fatigue and fail, no slide induced injuries and enough knock down power even with 38 Specials (it really bucked with 357s). Click Boom until you're done then set it down with no worries of an accidental discharge. The rubber grips are very easy for her to hold. The fixed sights on the 2" barrel indicate it was never intended for long range sniper use unless you consider the other side of the room to be long range. Trigger pull is a bit harder than my nearly forty year old Dan Wesson and S&W Model 60. For her sake I'm going to try and smooth out the trigger pull.The pistol points pretty well and she was able to quickly get a "good" hit on those politically incorrect human shaped paper targets. All in all it appears to be a good lower cost self defense weapon.

Great Conceal and carry weapon. Very light and accurate weapon. Buds has great service had my pistol in less than a week.

Buds service was excellent as always. The revolver was in perfect condition and also included a 2nd set of grips. I took it home and have fired about 30 rounds through it. The recoil is not bad, I fired Winchester 110 gr JHP. Hornady XTP 125 gr and Hornady Critical Defense 125 gr. All were accurate at 25 ft with the XTP providing the most recoil and the critical defense providing the least recoil. The double action pull is pretty stiff but the single action is excellent. I recommend the revolver if this is something you're in the market for.

Pistol is nice enough, especially for the money paid. Came with an extra set of "boot" grips in the box that I was not expecting which was a bonus. The cylinder lock/unlock is a bit sticky but hopefully will free up with some use. Trigger pull in single action is NICE and the double action is nice enough. The only negative thing to be noted is the pistol shoots about 2in low to the left at 7 yards. good enough for the purpose of a CC weapon.

Greetings....just purchased a Taurus Poly Protector 605 357 mag from Buds. Buds did a great job!! Taurus did NOT!!! After less than 100 rounds my revolver jammed in the cocked position with a load in the cylinder. Neither the trigger nor the hammer would function and there is a hot load in the chamber. The gun has no safety. Barely touched the cylinder with my left for finger to see if the cylinder was locked when the damn thing went off causing a deep powder burn and near cut on my left fore finger. What kind of company, other than Remington, would allow such a single action faulty trigger/hammer action to lock in a loaded position???

Picked up my Taurus M605ss today from my FFL. The gun was in perfect condition with no blemishes, and wrapped in a plastic bag along with a cardboard Taurus box, my FFL dealer looked it over and could not find any problems. Please note this is a new gun and was a little stiff in the action, but proceeded over to the range and fired off 5/ 357 mag golden saber hallow points and ran a full box of 38 special with no problems; after that the action seemed much better. The 357s had a little kick to them, but no big deal, and 38 specials were no problem for this beast. I like the front fiber optic site along with the low profile hammer. Several employees at my FFL came over to check this thing out and commented on how cool this magnum is, and they could not believe what I paid for it (Bass pro has the same gun for a hundred dollars more, screw them walked out and went to bud's online). This is my third purchase from bud's and will be looking at more guns in the future thanks bud's. Overall, very happy with this magnum, and plan on getting a snubbie holster to wear this thing when hiking in the woods and trails. If you are looking for a light weight mag at a good price then look no further this is the real deal. Happy shooting !!!!!!!!!!

I ordered the 605 357 poly SS on November 30th 2015 and received it on December 10th 2015 which isn't to bad due to Christmas and so many people buying guns at this time in history. I took it out Saturday .December the 12th to try it out. I shot 35 357 rounds and 25 38 +p's out of her. The 357's where a little ruff on my hands but the 38 +p's where wonderful. It took a little bit to get my aim right but when I did it was great. I will keep 357's in it while I carry it and use regular 38's to practice with. I also have an Ruger lc9s pro . The Taurus 605plyss 357 is a beautiful looking weapon. I give 5 stars for Buds and The 357! Thank you Buds for a wonderful gun,

Lightning fast delivery. Received the firearm within 72 hours, and while KY was under a winter storm. Very nice. Took the gun to the range today over my lunch break and put thirty 38's and twenty 357's through it. The first shot went directly through the center of the bullseye. That is exactly what you want to see with your new weapon! We're off to a good start. Had some trouble ejecting the spent casings but I will clean, lube, and continue to break her in. She's a little stiff overall and has a long and strong trigger pull in double action, but fun to shoot and extremely accurate. I think we just need a little more time together to get it broken in. 38 rounds feel great and the 357's definitely let you know you have fired some power! There is a very noticeable difference, but the 357's are very manageable. At least in moderation. Very nice handgun for a very reasonable price. Exactly what I was looking for.

This was my first purchase with Bud's and I couldn't be happier. Nice gun, looks good and shoots good. It's a little bigger than I expected but that doesn't bother me.
