Update to previous review. Have now run around 1000 rounds through it. CCIs are the only thing I now trust to put in it and expect to function properly. CCI HP, solids, and stingers all work great, although the CCI solids (0030) definitely are the most attractive in terms of consistency vs. price. Federal bulk, Winchester XX, Remington Golden Bullet, Wildcat 22's... none function consistency/properly. Winchester fires, but case stays stuck in barrel and I have to pry out with my pocket knife. Accuracy with CCI is still great (previously superglued sight stayed on with 500 rounds through today, so happy about that...). And action is still fun with comfort level very nice. However, now revising my previous rating from 4 to a 3 because of my real disapointment with its picky-ness of ammo. In summary (and in my opinion only), If you have to buy only one .22 semi-pistol, I would spend the extra $50 and pick up an American-made Browning Buckmark or Ruger Mark III instead, much better quality, feel, and they eat everything I've ever fed them. Hope this helps in your decision and good luck!
