Fantastic rifle!! No problems with the order process, and shipping went very smoothly! The rifle itself is everything I wanted. It took me awhile to learn how to set the scope up, since it was way out, but after playing with it, I got it right on target. So happy I purchased it!! I would buy from Buf'd Guns again, absolutely!!

This is my first Savage product and I am very pleased with it. It is a great hunting style rifle for deer and other big game. The rifle is very accurate and is a fair price for a .308. The Savage does not feel cheap like other rifles in this price range such as the Ruger American. I have been hunting deer for over 30 years and my only regret is that I have not tried a Savage sooner. The Nikon scope is a good very comparable to my Leupold scope and I particularly like the BDC for varies distances. I am now a fan of Savage Arms and plan to buy a Savage in .22 LR for range fun.

Purchased this .308 back in 2014. This gun was shooting consistent groups at 200yds with little adjustment right out of the box! It is hard to find a left handed firearm, especially one for a reasonable price. I have harvested several deer with this rifle now and intend on this Savage serving me well for decades to come!

As an instructor in basic rifle skills for the Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife, I needed to get a small-medium caliber rifle to teach with, as most of my hunting rifles are big bore--.30-07, 7 mm Magnum, .35 Whelen. I also needed a left-handed rifle, since I am a left-handed shooter and am needed to instructor left-handed students. So I found a great Savage 11 .308 with a Vortex scope. It was a great buy, and it is a great rifle. I sighted it in today. Delivery time was 1 week. Because of their quality customer service, and the quality firearms they sell, I will certainly be shopping at Bud's again.

The Savage Model 11 TH XP Lefthand in 308 with NIkon BDC 3 x 9 x 40 is a solid shooter. I have tested about 100 rounds of various types of ammo through it so far. My best group was just sub MOA and I would say the average is 1.5 MOA at various ranges. So I think my experience is consistent with the other online gun mag reviews. With cheaper ammo you will probably have a 2 to 3 MOA rifle. The scope is solid and holds zero. Scope was correctly mounted and boresighted. With all that said, this is a hunting rifle and not a target rifle. So it depends how you plan to use it. That Savage would make a lefthand package with scope for the same price as a righthand model sets them apart and they have my gratitude and future business. I recommend this rifle for the occasional hunter. If you are a dedicated tacops sniper or something you will probably want a rifle with a heavy 24 inch barrel and a better scope. But this rifle is perfect for most purposes. Bud's was great as usual.

This was my first rifle, so since I am left handed, I wanted a lefty rifle. The cost difference was minimal. I used the e-check cash option to save $20ish, but I did not know that that would mean a e-check would take 5 days to process, I might as well had sent a paper check in the mail. Other than that, the process was great, no problem at all. The Nikon that comes with the rifle doesn't have the easiest eye relief, but isn't a bad scope at all. However, the scope ring mounts hit the barrel before they hit the rail of the firearm. My FFL was aware of that and warned me about it. Savage is supposed to be aware of this, but I'm not sure. Rifle is great, I will use Buds again.

First of all, the website is excellently designed, allowing for easy navigation. The ordering process was quick and easy. The dropdown list of FFL dealers was helpful. I received my purchase in perfect condition. I would recommend Bud's Gun Shop to anyone interested in a positive gun-buying experience. I plan to make Bud's my first choice for my next firearm.

Picked this up today from the FFL dealer. Bolt is smooth operating and the feel promotes confidence. The trigger is just what Savage advertises: smooth and light, with no creep or overtravel, and is very crisp. I've handled much more expensive rifles with worse triggers. Bolt removal/installation is very easy, as is full disassembly. I like the scope as well, although a little longer eye relief would have been nice. The real downside seems to be the magazine. It needs a pretty solid push to get it to lock, and there is no clear click to let you know it's done it. This resulted in me spending a lot of time pushing on it, and then pulling again to see if it had locked in, which it often had not. Not a make-or-break kind of an issue, but definitely makes it take longer to get ready to shoot. This is obviously less crucial for a bolt-action hunting or target rifle than for a tactical rifle, but it still concerns me a bit. Although I haven't shot it yet, I did spend some time testing feeding and extraction/ejection, and no problems there. I did have one round that didn't feed, but that was my fault for not pulling the bolt back far enough. Can't say enough good things about the trigger. With a merely okay trigger, I would have given it 3 stars because of the magazine. But with this outstanding trigger, I feel like I can get past the magazine issue and just love the gun.

The bolt is not as smooth as a Mosin Nagant but it works. Scope is good, the height and wind adjustments need a tool to adjust, bummer. Tool (strait screwdriver) comes with the rifle. Shoots good. Light weight, easy to use. Nikon has a good program that tells the shooter the drop for different elevations using different ammo. Pretty useful information, especially since field adjustments with the screwdriver are a pain in the rear. Better to know the information ahead of time and shoot accordingly.

What a great deal for us south-paws. Buds does it again! Very happy with this purchase. The gun is a solid, straight shooter and though it's only an entry level Nikon scope on it, the optics are bright, clear and she holds zero round after round. The accutrigger is a huge plus - virtually no creep, and a light, crisp (proverbial breaking the glass rod) trigger pull.

First deal with buds. GREAT transaction! Received rifle in about one week during these busy times! Savage 308 rifle is excellent! Great value! Have not shot her yet, but very pleased with package. Why pay hundreds more for a remington? Planning my next purchase with buds as money permits.
