I purchased this gun with the need for a high capacity .45acp in single/double action setup. This gun is everything that's advertised and then some. Smooth action, out of the box accuracy that was second to none. It is a high quality high end firearm. It was not as bulky or cumbersome as I was expecting in a full size gun. Although its a little heavy with 16 rounds to carry, its very manageable. The felt recoil is less than expected in a polymer framed firearm shooting .45acp I imagine in part due to the great ergonomics it has. I was trying to stay away from striker fired and went with hammer fired for a cocked and locked option, and this delivers quite nicely. I am extremely satisfied with this gun and as well as the transaction with Budsgunshop.com.

Got a great price from Bud's. I like the 90 day layaway compared to other dealers. Great people to deal with.

Awesome pistol. Great capacity and very soft shooter. Shoots like a nine mil. Very manageable recoil for a 45 and fn reliability. Tough to beat.

Seems to be very sturdy, haven’t shot it yet, love the mag capacity, love the sights, not really in love with the polemer safety because it is a bit spongey, but other than that, I’m sure I will get great service from this pistol. So 4 stars for the pistol and 5 for Buds (quick and easy)

I love this FN gun the recoil is pretty light for a 45...it feels like your shooting a 9mm...I would recommend this gun for anybody who open carries like police officers security armored car drivers bodyguards etc this is one of the highest capacity 45.

Love this gun. Hands down my favorite 45 acp handgun. Kinda reminds me of Robocop's gun lol. The bi tone look with stainless steel slide and black polymer grip is one very pleasing combo to the eyes. Even though I have sort of small hands this large gun still fits well in my hand. It holds 15 + 1 rounds of 45 acp which is far more than any other 45 auto handgun I have ever owned. To my knowledge the only other 45 handgun that holds more is a Mac-10 with a 30 round capacity of 45 acp. This gun is the best combination of looks, functionality, ammo capacity, and stopping power I have ever experienced in any handgun. My new personal favorite handgun in my rather large collection. Highly recommend this gun!

I received my FNX-45 the other day and have since made to the range. It is everything I have read about the gun and more! I couldn't be happier! A big thanks to Buds for the excellent service and your lay-away program that gives a guy like me on disability access to these fine firearms. Excellent gun, very accurate, only about 100 rounds thru it so far a couple of days after receiving it from Buds and no jamming. The only down side is if you have small hands, the double stack mags makes the grip a little wide to hold.

BIG BIG GUN! Love it! I always like a gun that is larger and really fills the hand. The grips are a little aggressive and can hurt a bit when shooting, but a sleeve over them worked out perfectly. Needs some break in period, but after 300 rounds, runs amazing, and you can beat the capacity and the deal for 3 15 round mags.

Its an FN.... its F'N AWESOME! Seriously... the FNX is a great pistol. Its the Softest shooting 45 auto I've ever shot, and I've had HK-P9s's, Rugers, Colt 45 Autos, Kahr, and Smiths. Gotta be because its got a hefty slide. Its hefty! The double action is not bad once you shoot a bunch (or dry fire a bunch). Single action is rather creepy, but light and predictable. Size is pretty large. I usually wear an XL glove, and its fits me ok. I'd say, not for small hands. Mine came with one extra backstrap, two extra mags and the case. Ended up getting the FN "Tactical" case, and like that better. I put a Crimson Trace laser on the front (the universal one... can't remember the exact model) and it stays put and makes shooting pretty easy when activated. Iron sights on the FNX are decent - great actually, for a combat handgun. Really, no issues at all. This pistol has fed 100 percent since I got it, not one single failure on WWB, Federal, Speer, or my own reloads. Has not balked at hardball or swc bullets.... it pretty much eats up everything like a fat lady at a smorgasbord! Thanks Buds!

I was a little apprehensive to purchase a firearm online. However, after this experience Buds turned my apprehensiveness into appreciation. ***** With out a doubt A+5 Star weapon ***** Amazing, new and pretty! This is one of the few hand guns with out negative rating (At least I could not find a single negative comment worth noting) so, I purchased it. Took it out if the really cool case it came in, Took it down. Easy takedown, cleaned the barrel (according to the user handbook), loaded all three mags up with, ahem... "Walmart" target 45acp ammo. Banged out well over a box & 1/2 with out a single hitch or hang. Smooth and accurate! WOW, thats a first for me! Most new guns produce at least 3 or 4 miss feeds or hang. Not this one! This 45 is smooth and well balanced. I believe this something my wife would not mind shooting. Albeit a bit on the big side,I was able to use it today as C.C. To my amazement I had no problem with it under my sports coat. That was impressive. In addition This is my first time buying online from Buds. I must say; wow did they ever deliver! The FFA they recommended for delivery was over the top kind and professional as well. They too were equally fast. less than 3 day total from Buds hands to mine. Bud's Service? ***** Again 5 Star and an A+ ***** Way to go! You have a new and faithful customer.

Out of the box and straight to the range with 200 rounds down range. Absolutely love the FNX-45. Accurate right out of the box and feels great in the hand. I've had the FNS-9 for sometime now and always liked it. The FNX-45 if of the same quality. Loving this gun!

Let meLet me 1st say that the 15+1 magazine capacity makes this my go to .45ACP. Most of my pistols are Glocks but this one is a better 45 than my 21, 30 or even my Springfield 1911. I’ve owned this FNX45 for months now and have put 500 rounds down range. This weapon is very reliable and not ammo picky! Recoil is so good I put a 1st timer on it at the range and they loved it. 5 stars to buds for there layaway because without it I could have never afforded the weapon and 5+ stars for this gun because it is excellent!

I love this Pistol. put about 150 rounds through it at the range. Not a single malfunction and very accurate. The only complaint I have, is the double action trigger pull is terribly long. Which hopefully will get better with some more rounds. Fortunately, I don't use it in DA, but it is very, very, long. Reset is nice. SA trigger pull is nice and the recoil is low considering it is a .45 ACP. Very accurate, reliable and dependable. I may look into getting some kind of sleeve to go over the grips as they are very rough and abrasive. Other than that, fun and reliable pistol.

Outstanding firearm. Quality is top notch as expected. Excellent working with Bud's and my FFL. Smooth transaction with both. Three mags. a big plus. Nice to have a FNH plant in the USA. Quality equal to if not better than their European products, of which I own several.

-Wow!!!!!!! Picked up this fine piece today and went shooting with my Detachment (Im a team leader on a tactical Psyop team). This gun ran flawless and not just combat accurate we were getting sub 1 inch groups at 15 yards! This is not a CCW the gun is huge. It would make a great military or police sidearm. The gun controls are Ambi and recoil is light. This may be the best combat .45 out there in its price range.

5-stars for both Buds and FNH I mean this .45 is a dream to shoot and even if you have the slightest amount of training you will still shoot tight groupings i mean This was the my little brothers first time at the range and he is 16 and he had neat little collections of 3in groups at about 15yds and i wouldn't consider that bad at all for a first timer. You won't regret buying this pistol if you're doing research on buying one i mean the biggest thing you may come up against is preference as with any other firearm. 200 rounds with no hiccups!! smooth action boys!!

Understand this review is coming from a diehard 1911 fan who detests DA triggers. This FN FNX 45 is a great gun with a good DA/SA trigger that can be carried "condition one" like a 1911 (and it has a decocking feature). It was delivered promptly as is usual for Bud's. It came in a large sturdy case with two grip backstraps, one curved and one flat and three 15 round magazines. I found this pistol to be very accurate, functionally reliable and natural to point. Another attribute that speaks to superior engineering is the way it ejects every case into a nice neat (maybe 2 foot) circle. Amazing! This is a great pistol and with 3 magazines is a great value. The only thing lacking in my opinion is a much needed magazine loader as the 15 rounders are very difficult to load by hand to capacity. 5 Stars for Bud's and FN Herstal!
