I bought this to replace a thinner, but much less expensive pistol I have been using for CCW. Unfortunately that pistol, while very concealable, has been completely unreliable, having a jam or misfeed nearly every magazine of rounds. It was also very hard to shoot well. But it was inexpensive. Lesson learned. At the recommendation of some much more experienced people I decided so spend a little more for a better gun. I picked this one because the modular aspect appeals to me, and because I like the DAO for CCW. My initial impression of this gun is that it is FAT. The slide on the p250 is not too bad in width, but the grip is much wider. I expected it to be wider than my single stack since it is a double stack, but so is my SR9 and that is not nearly as fat in the grip as this gun. I have put 200 rounds of 124 gr Aquila FMJ through it so far, and not a single problem, which is a relief because I was getting tired of clearing FTEs, and FTBs on my previous CCW slim gun (I found the Aguila worked best in that gun, other brands resulted in much more problems). This is the first DOA gun I have shot, at least as far as I can remember, and I had no issues with it. It shoots pretty well. The fat grip doesn't hurt shooting, and seems to help control the gun. I have been shooting it at 15 yards, keeping most rounds in about a 10" group, and even my twitchy fliers were on paper at least. Nothing to brag about but compared to my slim CCW pistol it is a huge improvement. I wouldn't even bother shooting my slim gun at 15 yrds because half the rounds would miss the target completely. I have a lot of work to do on my marksmanship, clearly. I love the sights on the p250, although I'm not really impressed by the night sight feature. I was expecting much more glow for the extra price, but these are the first night sights I have seen, so it may be brighter than other night sights for all I know. The stations at the indoor range where I have been shooting are dark - annoyingly so, actually, and I could not really see much of a glow from these. BUt they are big enough that even with my aging eyes I could see them clearly. I prefer the over the sights on my SR9. I have to give this 5/5 since it is reliable, and that is 90% the value of a CCW gun, but it shoots well, is concealable enough, has a good trigger, and is modular. I'd probably give it 5+ if I could,
