As we used to say, my bean field rifle. With 117gr Federal ballistic tips, very deadly on whitetails for me. not a carry rifle but is damn good in a stand across a cut down corn field.

I could not be happier with this rifle. The pictures online really don’t do it justice. It’s probably one of the lightest rifle I’ve ever held that has a 26 in bull barrel on. The rifle is balanced well. Very crisp trigger. I recommend anyone who just loves to shoot to own one of these rifles. I also felt like the price was very reasonable.

As with most recent vintage Remington rifles it was necessary to change the trigger (I installed a Timney 2-stage on this one) in order to get a reliably low pull weight trigger as I could not get the factory trigger to adjust to my liking. With the new trigger and a Weaver V-16 scope, the rifle shoots like a dream. I am still breaking in the barrel (20 rounds down range the first session), and have loaded up 100 rounds for the next time out. I expect it to shoot quite well based on my initial experience. Bud's is great to deal with. I used one of their preferred FFL's, and in less than a week from time of order my rifle was delivered. Can't beat that.

Bought this gun a year ago, built it up to be my tack driver. Folks will ask what caliber I have, tell them it's a .25-06. Look at me funny, tell me how great their Creedmoor is. Then I put a few holes touching on a target, and they are strangely quiet. I took a good bit of time breaking the barrel in and finding a load it likes, put a 20 MOA base and decent scope on it, lots of fun. Not something you want to carry all day, it's a big boy, but when it's time to sit down and go to work - it's ready.
