CIA RI2087-N N-PAP Hi-Cap 30+1 7.62x39mm 16.25"
by Michael C Date Added: Sunday 24 August, 2014
This is a very well manufactured firearm. It is tight, nothing loose or janky. The receiver trunnion and barrel despite being the N and not the O variant are still very robust. The birch furniture is very nicely finished and is well fitted to the receiver, gas block and barrel, no gaps flush fit. The finish of the firearm is well done not streaky or blotchy, appears to be blued. The stock has a high comb and is better suited for optics, however RS Regulate has a excellent side mounted rail system that fits and centers almost flush on the PAP's and if you e-mail he has an excellent quad rail that bolt right on(no fabricating), he just got them in so you need to e-mail him tell him you have a new PAP, they should be up on the site in a week or two. I installed both these rail systems and immediately installed some Troy flip ups and a red dot and have a excellent cheek weld for this system and co-witness to boot(not with the stock sites). The stock front and rear sites appear not to be canted however this was based on a visual inspection. The trigger is also a two coil Tapco trigger system not the single coil which is excellent. The safety switch actuates very positively and is not too tight. The bolt assembly and piston are chromed. The chamber is blued however my barrel appears to be chrome lined at least to the naked eye and a bore light, I could be wrong.

My only complaint is that these are not shipping with any cosmoline. I found the beginnings of surface rust in in some areas however it easily polished out however my chamber required some serious attention and I had to work it with a chamber brush and oil for a good forty minutes and elbow grease to get that sucker clean. That is what lead me to believe the barrel might be chromed becuase it should have also had some surface rust but was bright and shinny silver and reflective. Make sure upon delivery you give yours a thorough inspection for any rust and clean accordingly. Ironically becuase they have no cosmoline.

Enjoy a fantastic deal here!
