This is one awesome rifle. Wish I had bought 2 of them. Very light, great balance, nearly zero recoil and shoots spot on. Snugs up tight. Makes it easy to hold steady. Really builds confidence in shooting. I used the red dot which was great for close range. Recently added a new Pinty HRS-0011-RD scope that added some wide view range, a laser sight and replaced the red dot all in one. I have not had one shell jam, regardless of the round being shot. If you desire a AR in your life, take my word and just buy it. Lifetime support/repairs if needed. I do not foresee any of this but it gives piece of mind for the owner, I'm afraid to see what the current price is with the inflation that has been pushed upon us. Overall an Excellent choice in my opinion.

Great rifle, looks and functions perfect..

Overall was satisfied with the riffle, taking the upper receiver off of the lower receiver was a bit of a chore. Overall good riffle and quality.

I was little hesitant buying my first carbon fiber AR, but it's lightweight, well made, and shoots like a charm. I'm an X-army infantry soldier and I've humped the old style M-16 for kilometers and days through the bush. Can't beat the weight and balance on this rifle.

This has been a fantastic AR15 rifle. It is light, easy to operate and very accurate. I do not run a massive number of rounds through this gun so I cannot talk to how good it might be if it were used heavily. I bought it as a light weight rifle that is very versatile with an infinite number of accessories available for it as an AR15 platform. If I had to choose again, I would choose this gun again.

This was my first and last AR. I still don't like em. I wound up selling cheap. This particular gun was well thought out and a quality product. I will not recommend it however, because of what it is.

So, Here we go kiddies. I've had this firearm for over a week now, and yet to be "able" to fire it, why? Because a number of things, 90% mine the rest, I BLAME ON WINDHAM! First when I was looking at "reviews" and things for a new AR, I never heard once, in ANY review that they use "COMMERCIAL BUFFER AND TUBES", first issue, ordered "Mil-Spec" parts, waited for them to arrive, only to find out that IT'S COMMERCIAL SPECS PISSED!, second, trying to change the gas block to a low profile, so that I may install a 12.5 " quad rail. First QR I ordered stated"DROP-IN", wait for it, NOT A DROP IN SENT, Have to return it, in mean time SPEND MORE MONEY AND WAIT FOR NEW ONE, AGAIN, Tried to remove the stock gas block, Click on WINDHAM'S site, SEARCH A MONTH FROM TUESDAY, FINALLY FIND INFO ON GAS BLOCK REMOVAL, Thought maybe there was a "MAGIC WORD", or a "pretty please needed to get the taper pins out, NOPE, So, I follow what they have on their sight and three broken punches, to bend brass punches, and broken vise, still CAN NOT GET THEM TO EVEN MOVE!, so good thing I'm an old welder, and have s "cool set" of tools, because I'm gonna fire up the die grinder, with a cut off wheel, and IT WILL LOSE! Then I'm gonna send all the broken punches, and CRAPPY GAS BLOCK BACK TO WINDHAM WEAPONRY, AND TELL THEM TO SHOVE THIS STUFF UP THEIR BACK SIDE ALONG WITH THEIR FIREARMS! NEVER EVER WILL I BUY ANOTHER FIRE ARM FROM THEM, NOR WILL I EVER LET ANY OF MY OTHER FRIENDS DO THE SAME(I say that because one of them has the Cabela's special) so it's to late to save his soul. They might be okay for some and for some who support them or pay to have their guns serviced, but if you do your own, DON'T BUY A WINDHAM, Because they sure don't play nice like other AR's that a normal guy can work on. Other than this rant I will say IT WAS AWESOME WORKING WITH THE STAFF AT BUDS GUNS. I LOOK FORWARD TO MORE BUSINESS WITH THEM FOR SURE.

I've had my rifle now 7 months and have been happy with the rifle. I've put 300+ rounds without so much as a hiccup. This is my first AR and with options/upgrades/product support extensive, I wanted a light inexpensive rifle made by a reputable company that stands behind their product. I believe I have that with my Windham AR. I'm happy with my purchase.

My Windham Weaponry AR-15 arrived on time and is an excellent rifle. Easy to break down and I have ordered a .22LR conversion for it so that I can shoot it at my local indoor range. The quality surpassed my expectations and I can't wait to customize it. Great weapon at a great Bud's price.

Wow I love my AR. Always wanted one and got this for $440. Has NEVER failed to fire so far with over 500 rounds. Have added several attatchments. Every mag I have purchased has worked with ease. Aluminum, plastic, I keep a 42 rd pro mag in at all times. Whindom Weaponry makes a damn good rfle. Not sure what the price of it now, but for $500 or less what do you have to loose, 10/10 have not had any problems cycling, stove pipes, mag problems. Barrel gets damn hot after 100 rds, but the two heat shields under the front barrel cover works well. Funny watch a youtube video on how to get the shields out, very interesting I like it. BUY THIS WEAPON

So this was my first purchase from buds and my first AR15. I am happy to say that overall I am very pleased with both. Shipped quickly, and and came in almost perfect condition. My only complaint was that if I looked really closely, the hand guard was misaligned about 1mm. Anyone who picked up the gun to shoot it would not notice at all, and this did not affect accuracy. For being carbon fiber, I am surprised how durable it is. I get about 1 inch groups at 100 yards if I am using good match grade ammo. You will not get those groups if you use steel cased ammo though. I usually use cheap 55 gr wolf gold (not the steel cased), and it shoots just fine. I put a vortex 6 power strike eagle on it, along with magpul sights. For a first AR, this is a safe bet, although I would not purchase it if you are looking for a shit hit the fan kind of gun since it is carbon fiber. If you drop it hard or it gets hit somehow in a fighting situation, it may not survive the blow. If you want something that you can take to the range and get great groups with and have a lot of fun while having that home defense safety, this gun is a pretty good choice.

After researching for 2 weeks, I narrowed my choices down to 3 rifles. These were the Windham Weaponry carbon fiber, the Del-Ton Echo 316, and the Ruger AR556. Th Del-Ton was the only one had not heard of. After considering all the features I was looking for, I went with the Windham. It had the M16 bolt carrier, a chrome lined barrel and chromed lined bolt as well. The other reason is I live 20 minutes from Windham's factory. Buds did a great job with the shipping. The only thing I have to gripe about is the pricing. You get penalized either way you buy. Either you pay the retail price and you're assured to get the gun, or pay by electronic check, get the 3% and wait until it clears, and possibly the weapon is sold out. Once you know this it's not a big deal. I received the rifle on time and in great condition. These rifles are stout! Don't let the carbon fiber fool you, it's a lot stronger than you think! The finish is emaculate with a nice luster to the phosphate coating. It's mostly a mil-spec rifle. The trigger is decent and breaks cleanly. The buffer tube is commercial spec and works great. In my opinion, for the past ice you can't find a better deal than the Windham Weaponry carbon fiber. If you need more opinions there are a few YouTube videos by Sootch00, Haus of Guns and FateofDestinee reviewing this rifle. Now for the "icing on the cake." I didn't realize that I received a 30 dollar e-gift card from Buds. This allowed me to buy a set of UTG iron sites for 16 bucks with shipping! For me, this is ideal as I am a fan of the tried and true iron sights. I will look into a red dot later. One mod I did right away is I changed to a Magpul MOE K2 grip. What a difference! In conclusion, I don't believe there are many rifles that are as good of a deal as this! I don't think anyone would be disappointed after purchasing this gun. If you're considering this gun, is highly recommend it. Happy shooting!

Great purchase buy sights at the same time

It's like seeing an old girlfriend after a long time apart. Been years since I handled an AR type rifle. But, on handling this one again, I was struck at her improvements. This weapon is lighter, handier and would move quicker in close quarters than nearly any other. The composite has its advantages and with a lifetime guarantee, I'm not too worried with what the naysayers have to complain about. It is very accurate; shoots better than me. (Bushnell scope with range stadia in the reticle, very smart) So, for all the advantages of the AR platform, weight, rate of fire, accuracy; I'd say they are all here. In addition, the price and the service at Bud's is top notch. The quality, the engineering and manufacturing precision evident in this rifle puts Windham Weaponry way out front.

hmmm...taking a wait and see attitude so far.......good points are no FTF/FTF/FTE.....first scope I had on it didn't satisfy so switched out for a vortex crossfire 2x7 w/full length base mounts....groupings were much better.........used PMC 223 55grn. which also may be part of the problem.......most others report very good groupings......keep fooling with it......may like different ammo or even 556 better.....plenty accurate for zombies etc at this time......trigger is single stag and heavy....swapping it out may help as well.........
