This "rail rider" would not fit on the picatinny rail of the Desert Eagle, as the DE built-in rail was much wider than this adapter could accommodate. The sight I wanted to use it with (Burris Fastfire 3) accommodated the DE-rail just fine. I may have a need for the Quick-Release device, later.
