I purchased this rifle many years ago, I am still impressed by it's performance and functionality. although I have modified some things, muzzle brake,Timney trigger, Magpul stock, nothing too severe. I am able to shoot sub MOA with the ammo it likes 155 gr. t0 168 gr. Hornandy, She's a keeper!

A real nice rifle. It’s better than the military AR 15 which I fired when I was on active duty. The gas piston is great all the way around.

This is a very solid well made rifle. Ruger quality really shines through. It is tight, smooth and very accurate. There is not a lot that I can say beyond that. This rifle is not inexpensive, but the design, function and overall quality make it a good value. Fire it, then clean it and you can hand it down to the next generation.

Bud's Gun Shop processed and shipped my order quickly and efficiently. The Rifle is great - I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I've no doubt that the usual Ruger quality, development, testing, and manufacturing apply here. I own two Ruger firearms already and love them. This is my first AR-10 style rifle and can't wait get it dialed in and put some holes in paper. It's great that Ruger is finally including multiple magazines with many of their firearms now. This one includes three magazines, a couple of small picatinny rails, and forearm grips to help you get the rifle properly accessorized. The nylon carrying bag is a nice touch too. I was bummed to find that the rifle shipped with a Magpul pistol grip even though it was advertised as having a Hogue grip. I own a hogue grip on one of my pistols and really enjoy it. I like the finger grooves and would prefer a grip that was over-molded in rubber providing a "grippier" feeling. I sent Bud's an email about it over a week ago but still haven't heard back from them. Even though it wouldn't have stopped me from buying the rifle, Bud's should change the listing on their website to accurately reflect what furniture it actually ships with. I reached out to Ruger about the Hogue grip and was informed they still ship them that way from the factory so it's unclear why mine had the Magpul instead. Bud's, are you listening?

Bud's Guns did a great job handling and filling my layaway order submitted in early May 2018 and shipped expeditiously to my FFL dealer. My only issue is in respect to my order was that Bud's didn't recognize my order as a "cash" transaction even though what I read in the fine print that it was to be considered as such. Upon contacting Bud's I was told that layaway transactions, as of April 2018 , was no longer considered a cash order and I was not eligible for the $50+ discount. Interesting that this policy change occurred less than a month before my order and was not posted as such as I read and ordered In early May 2018.

Could not be happier with the purchase of this SR762, I was blown away how well it shoots and 0 issues after 400 rounds. Trigger is very smooth. Thanks to Buds I was able to get it super fast and enjoy quality range time. If You're looking at any AR10 make sure to shoot this one before making the final decision.

I bought this rifle online from Bud's. Even during the enormous spike in gun sales caused by the idiot gun grabbers, the rifle was delivered in great time and the transaction was flawless. This is a great rifle from Ruger. Mine was manufactured in 2017 so it has the Magpul buttstock and a 2 stage trigger. Three included pmags are always nice too. I'm always impressed with the quality and craftsmanship provided by Ruger. There are definitely less expensive ARs available but this is piston driven and a Ruger.

Haven't fired it yet, but very impressed by the workmanship and materials used in the weapon. Ruger is always my go to for a quality piece of the kit.

I recently purchased this firearm from Bud's and it arrived in a very short time in excellent condition. I have purchased two firearms from Bud's previously and have been very pleased with them and so when I was in the market for an AR-10, I ordered the Ruger SR-762 from Bud's also. Although I have not shot it yet, it appears to be of excellent quality and quite sturdy. I like the cloth carrying case that came with it, the three magazines, and other accessories. This was a very easy purchase and I would definitely buy from Bud's again.

I had some minor jamming issues and ejector issues when I first got it, after that it has worked just fine, great rifle and very accurate.

Do yourself a favor and get this rifle. I have had several AR platform guns and this Ruger is well worth the money. Mine came with Magpul pistol grips, stock, mags and three finger groove attachments for the handrail. Rifle is very well balanced, some people find them front-heavy (piston-gun) but I didn’t think that was the case. The trigger is great and compares to my custom .30-06 bolt gun, very light and crisp. I have fired around 75 rounds so far with three different types of ammo including military .762 without any problems. The range near me has a max of 100 yards, using a small scope (Vortex Strike Eagle 1 x 6 x 24 wh a 2 inch off-set mount) I was driving tacks at this distance, needless to say this rifle is very accurate and didn’t lose it when the barrel got hot. If I had to list some cons it would be that there isn’t a picatinny rail on the bottom, of course you can add one if you wish. Also no sling attachments or swivels. Overall very pleased with the Ruger SR 762 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a .308 in an AR style platform. Great service and prices from Bud’s.

Ordered my ruger sr 762 came in exactly when they said it would, everything is perfect on it brand new!!!!!! This is my third firearm thru buds gun shop and all purchases have went 110% perfectly,,,will be back for a FNX .45 and gen 5 glock

I have both the SR 5.56 and the SR 7.62 308. The build quality of this 7.62 is so far superior to the 5.56 that I would not know where to begin. Although my 5.56 was an early version I would swear that the 7.62 was built by a different company. In the end The SR 7.62 is my favorite rifle for all around use. Good accuracy and excellent build quality, if only my SR 5.56 had been of this quality. Rugger's personnel could learn a little about customer appreciation, why soooooooooo rude!!!!!! If your front line people are rude over the phone you do not need to bother with quality....competition does exist, In the end I'm glad that I gave Rugger another chance. The SR 7.62 308 is a fine choice....Customer service could use some work. Bud's was great! Doug G.

I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, however I can say that I received the newer model with magpul furniture, stock and magpul grip. Fast and securely shipped.

This rifle is pretty front heavy, but to be expected from all piston driven rifles. Note, the stock that is pictured is not shipped. It actually comes with an enhanced Magpul stock that locks up tight and is quite comfortable. I will say the non-freefloat rail was a bit of a turn off for me, but all the reviews I read say this rifle shoots MOA anyway. I haven't fired it yet to confirm.

I bought this weapon from Buds in September 2015. It was the model with the mil-spec trigger. By the time I finished the ffl paperwork my gunsmith had it smooth as a baby's rear and at about 3 or 4 lbs. The weapon has performed flawlessly with about 2,000 rounds of Federal M80 through it. I love the piston system and it is easy to maintain. I would recommend both Buds and this weapon to my friends and family .

Ruger hit it out of the park again with the sr762 not a single malfunction with over 500 rounds through it. Awesome rifle and the ruger two stage trigger is excellent with hunting ammo it will push 1 inch groups all day long plinking ammo just standard ball ammo 147-150 grain 1 1/2 -1 3/4 5 shot groups at 100 with federal gold medal match 168 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards overall very impressed with this rifle and being a piston driven it's very easy to clean and a great price for a piston rifle I would highly recommend this rifle
