I give this rifle a five star rating. It is a great Savage rifle. Has all the great Savage qualities. Bought it for my Step daughter and it fits her perfectly. What more can I say?, It's a Savage, it speaks for itself. I would recommend this to anyone small in stature or a youth. .243 knocks down any deer.

Bought this for the wife who is small framed. After seeing that Savage put the accu-trigger on this model, the decision was easy. Arrived fast, and in perfect condition. Although this is a package deal, I had reservations on the scope, and the base/rings. I decided not to gamble after seeing the scope has a built in bullet drop set-up. All those line are just too much for in experienced hunters. Swapped out the scope with a Nikon Prostaff I took off my muzzle loader, and replaced the base/ring with a DNZ Game Reaper (on all my scoped rifles, nothing is better) medium. Got it to the range, and true to Savage, accuracy out of the box rivals all high dollar rifle. 3 shot, one hole groups with Federal fusion, Hornady American Whitetail, and Federal power=shock blue box. All that was needed was me doing my part; The only other downfall is that the stock is designed for open sights, line of sight. So a Bear-tooth comb raising kit, and problem resolved. Great gun, great price. Just some custom fitting to the shooter is all that's needed.
