I LOVE this rifle! I already own an WW AR-15 Gov. Issue with the 20 inch barrel. It shoots like a dream, but I wanted something to compliment it, something heavier hitting, and a little more tactical. Enter the WW SRC in 7.62x39mm. I knew it was the same ammo as the AK-47,and then l knew l could have the best of both worlds....an AR-15 AND an AK-47...in the AR platform. I added the red dot sight to it, and it just took off. It's a GREAT shooter, EXTREMELY accurate, very powerful, but with very controlled recoil. Its short enough to be as tactical as l need it, and powerful enough to do it's job. My two WW AR and SRC rifles are the PERFECT match for each other, Buying this rifle was a move I'll never regret!

This has been one of my favorite rifels It is very accurate and I have killed several deer and hogs with this rife. I had to put a .010 longer foreign pin in to shoot steel case ammunition since their primers are hard. Would definitely recommend this rifle!

I bought this gun to support American workers at an American business. It's a great truck gun.

Just left the range and man.....this rifle is a piece of junk. Every round ftf.

Buds was great on the shipping and my dealer was great overall a smooth transaction. I can say that this feed all steal case ammo and brass ammo. To my surprise no FTF or FTE. I have over 500 rounds used. This was bought for hunting and cheep target practice. Their are no sights provided with this. I used a 2x7 Leopold scope. The brass ammo federal blue box was MOA and the steal went from 1.5 to 2 moa. I'm happy with this.

When i bought was $665.00. Good customer service and the firearm is very accurate, no jam, no failer, I am using Federal power schock, Federal Fusion and wolf steel 7.62x39 case ammo it eat everything no issue.

Bought for hunting. Didn't like the action. Didn't always lock in. Missed 3 opportunities at deer because of that. Sold and bought a side charger in the same caliber, its great, no issues

Super rifle I call it ,you cannot go wrong with this one!

I've never been a big AK fan unless it's auto,but this is right up my alley. Very reliable and accurate. A perfect option for cheaper AR shooting,especially these days given our political climate. 762x39 is cheap and I had a few FTF,but Tula stuff is hit or miss. Thumps alittle harder then 5.56,but manageable. I recommend definitely.

I love my ar 15, I have already shot 500 rounds.
Also the price I pay was well worth. I do recommend this ar 15 it cames with life time warranty.

Well built, super accurate. Occasional lite primer strikes with steel case ammo. There are aftermarket firing pins available to easily solve as well as videos to modify the existing firing pin. I really like everything about the rifle except since the firing pin is a known issue and most people will by this gun to shoot cheap ammo, why doesn't Windham make the easy fix.

purchased this rifle this spring for my grand daughter to deer hunt with this year. reloaded with lapua brass and sst bullets. bought c product mags for it 20 and 10 rounders for deer hunting no problems gun shoots lights out to 300 yards grand daughter loves it. great gun from wyndham weaponry love dealing with buds. read a lot of negative reviews about 7.62x39 feeding problems i have had no such experience. my daughter now says she will use this rifle also this deer season. thank you buds and wyndham weaponry this is now my favorite ar.

I always wanted a 7.62x39 AR because of it's accuracy with the AR platform. It works really great and pretty accurate with my Nikon scope. Yes, I would buy it again and Buds shipped it to my dealer very quickly. Buds is a great company to deal with and I have nothing but good thing to say about them.

Best deal of the year when I got this ammo is affordable and with vortex 3x scope the accuracy still is hard to believe 3 shot groups all touching at 100 yards

Rifle was ordered on a Friday morning and arrived to my FFL on Wednesday around noon, just went and transferred and brought home the same day, like 10 minutes total (doesn’t always work so nicely at this point). This is my second Windham rifle with my first being in the 5.56 Nato caliber. Both are extremely well made. I've always wanted to try the 7.62x39 caliber round in an AR style rifle. The AK rifles are inherently inaccurate with their loose tolerances, poor sights and short sight radius. So it was no surprise when I took the Windham SRC to the range for the first time with a 3X optic from Primary Arms (which I also highly recommend). After a few shots at 50 yards to zero the rifle I started shooting at 100 yards. It was a very windy day, so definitely not ideal but I immediately started shooting 1" groups using Romanian ammo that I bought years ago in a spam can. In short, amazing! If this rifle can shoot that well with cheap surplus ammo I doubt I'll ever use anything else. Nice job Windham! I'm planning to do some hunting with this rifle in the future, something I would never have considered with an AK rifle. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. My recommendation: Buy one

I don't know what anybody else's experience with this rifle has been, but I absolutely love it. At first I had a few jamming and feeding issues with the mag that came with it (a D&H Tactical 20 rounder) but after purchasing a few aftermarket 30 rounders from C products, function was flawless. It's about damn time they put the 7.62 x 39 in the AR platform!

Purchased this fine rifle from Bud's based on reviews here and other web sites. As others have stated, the fit and finish of this rifle are superb at this price point. Shipping was fast once Bud's called me to verify details of my purchase. Several days of research went into this decision. Although cost was a factor, the quality of WW products was also a major factor. The rifle shipped with one 30-round magazine, a nice instruction booklet (with fairly detailed photos) for those of us that haven't handled an AR type rifle in several decades, all packaged in a plain black plastic case. It is easy to see why folks rave about this rifle. I was immediately impressed with the "feel" of the weapon - it seems well balanced and well designed on a time-tested platform. I field stripped it to become familiar with the AR-type rifle I remembered from my days in the USAF, and it felt like being reunited with an old friend. Although I haven't yet been to the range with it, I am confident this will be my "go to" long gun for many years to come. You could spend much more on an AR type rifle, but why would you ? Spend your savings on a crate of ammo - you'll want to shoot this gun a LOT. Bud's service still shines as a beacon for others to emulate. Get one before they're all gone !

First, Buds was excellent! Fast Service and accurate service. Purchased the SRC in 762.39 a couple of months ago, added Magpul Pro MBUS, switched out furniture and went to the range. After reading reviews about the D&H Mag, bought mags from ASC. Using Winchester brass, the first round from the mag didn't load, tried another mag same thing. Inspected all mags and tried again. Success! Don't know what the problem was; me or the mags, but everything loaded and fired from then on. I really like the fit and feel of the Windham Weaponry firearm and the accuracy of the rifle is better than I am. Next time, I will see how the steel cased ammo does. I really like this rifle!

Recieved last week. Great weapon, well made. Bud's customer service and shipping were exceptional. Once hurricane Irma leaves I'll be headed to the range to test it out.

Did not even try the mag that came with it. Using C product mags. Slapped on a aero mount and vortex 1.75-5 scope. Was Testing two bolt guns at the time, but decided to try and put this to the test, first time firing, I recieved a 1 moa 3 shot group with ppu fmj, 3 inches off to the right of poa. Next two groupings were 2 and 3"s. Very pleased with my purchase through Buds, and really like the Windham Weaponry in 7.62x39. I have a feeling this will be a favorite of mine since i love aks and this round. I am anxious to test this rifle further !
