I’d seen some AKs and thought they were ugly. But this one is handsome with nice wood. I’m completely happy with it. Shooting is a pleasure. Smooth, low recoil, accurate and reliable. The AK competed with the SKS in the 1940’s. So I bought an SKS - from Bud’s of course. Totally happy with both.

I love the gun and the caliber! after putting scope mount and red dot its super fun and accurate! Its a great platform and after putting some high end glass on it, it is for sure a tact driver! And Buds is always top notch with inventory, prices, and speed of shipping! Buds is my go to for purchasing firearms! I'll be back!

Solid rifle. Smooth action.

First thing I noticed was the weight - a little heavier than expected. The next thing I noticed was the wood furniture. In a word - cheap. It does not hold up to range visits very well. Felt great, but looked like I was committing gun abuse within a few months of ownership. I ended up replacing the wood with Magpul furniture, and it's holding up much better. Fires reliably and accurately, and it's fun to clean after having attached the Red Army red dot riser specifically made for this rifle (not). The innards for the trigger/hammer spring mechanism are not your typical AK twisted wire spring. CA took a more conventional approach, so we'll see how well it holds up over time. So far, it works exactly as intended. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

This was my first AK style firearm. It is nice and have only had a few issue with it feeding but I think that is just because it is brand new. I would suggest checking all the parts when cleaning it for the first time. I found that the muzzle break was a little lose. It did need a good cleaning when I got it as it had a fair amount of oil and grease on the firearm. Overall I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone for their first ‘AK style’ firearm.

Very nice rifle! Nice milled receiver, far superior than the common stamped steel versions. Better yet it's 100% made in the USA and worth every penny.

What a great AK47! Fit and finish is spot-on. A milled receiver is a big plus too. It fired flawlessly and and after some sight adjustments it was pretty accurate.

I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but it is a quality gun. looks great

Buds was great as always. The C39v2 seems very well constructed. 600rds through it and so far not a wiggle or wobble to be found.
The milled receiver is amazing. The magwell is especially impressive. I’ve put 4 different mags in it (Magpul, Bulgarian, Russian Bakelite, and Romanian 75rd drum) and all 4 fit perfect with no wiggling. The muzzle brake design does a great job of mitigating muzzle rise by firing the gas upwards and that’s also great for laying down prone. (Less dirt flying around)
Opinions vary, but In my opinion, I would definitely recommend this AK for anyone looking for the best quality out there they can find under the $1,000 price tag.

First off buds was great.
Overall the rifle is great. So far (660 rounds in) my only complaint is the wood on the handguard really holds heat. After 2-3 mags I have to set the rifle down or put on gloves. It's not a big deal and my friend said installing magpul furniture would help, so well see.

I have had my C39V2 for a year now. It is used for plinking and hunting wild pigs at close range. I did put a 4x Triijicon ACOG on it with Primary Arms mounts. The gun has functioned flawlessly, has a great trigger, and is very accurate at the 50 to 100yard distances I shoot. This is my first AK. It is a tank and I am now a believer. I am not one of those who empties magazines rapidly, so maybe I am not as hard on the barrel as some. I am around 1000 rounds downrange at this time and all is well.

Love this Ak. Has the classic look but is surprisingly easy/comfortable to shoot. A lot more comfortable than I was expecting as I’ve heard people complain about the non tactical AKs. If something happened to this one I’d buy another the next day.

Really a nice rifle, runs flawlessly

Bought this particular AK because of the dark wood furniture on it. Im not a big fan of the light blonde wood on AKs. Everything is tight and of good quality. The bolt carried goes back smoothly and closed flush no matter how slow to guide it back. Has the safety cutout to hold carrier back. It's a lot heavier than it looks too, which I love. Chevron break, 2 sling loops already installed, side scope mount, one magpul mag included.

This rifle is better so far than i expected. It was delivered in excellent condition. I have never owned an AK 47 so wasn't sure what to really expect. I made my decision after watching HICKOK 45 review one on youtube. It seem to have what i wanted and am very pleased with it so far. I really like that it is American made. Buds did as usual by getting it to my dealer on time. Thank you !

Can't go wrong with this AK. Best looking one I've owned. Highest quality build. Nice wood. Will take to the range soon and see how it does, but so far I'm impressed.

This is THE NICEST AK-47 I have! It's got nicely stained wood and as for firing I have never had an issue. Went to a nice gun-show and got her some really nice new Steel Magazines! I think this is better than a lot of the AK's you see on the shelf in stores!

Bought this ak 47 from buds using layaway. The entire process is easy from purchase to delivery. This gun is made in USA and is well made. It is fun to shoot and is accurate I have shot several hundred rounds without any hang ups. I highly recommend buds and this gun.

The rifle is exactly as advertised. I managed to put about 500 rounds through it at the range after I received it, and I had no malfunctions. I use both the supplied 30-round polymer PMAG magazine, and some Serbian surplus Zastava magazines that I had laying around. All of them functioned properly and locked up clean with no modifications necessary. My only complaint about this rifle would be the quality of the wood used for the stock, or maybe just the finish of the stock. It does not appear to be a particularly high grade. That's not really a problem though as I had always intended to swap out the stock set with some Russian red akm funiture to retain a classic look on the rifle that I wanted. I did swap out the stock rear sight with a Krebs custom 1000-yard aperture sight. It made a huge difference, as my eyesight is not as good as it used to be and the standard AK sight sucks. I was not shooting off a rest, but at 100 yards off hand and kneeling I was able to put all the rounds in the 9 or 10 Ring of a standard silhouette Target. That's fine. I intend to take it out and see what it will actually do off a bench With a red dot on top of it. That is not a gigantic priority of mine right now however. The rifle does exactly what I wanted to do Straight Out of the Box.

In my opinion the c39v2 is the best of all the AK’s for sale by this company. 100% American made and Ive had NO cycling issues at all. Very very good weapon. A true workhorse and an American made workhorse at that!! If your looking for a great reasonably priced AK for your protection or collection,this is the gun to have.
