I was very glad I found this rifle at Bud's. I bought this to replace my old Marlin 44 magnum which I gave to a friend without arthiritis in his hands. The loading gate was a real pain for me. This Henry is a great rifle and just as smooth as my old Marlin that was very smooth and shot really good too. The Henry is every bit as good and in some ways better. It shoots just as good and the wood is better. My Marlin had a 18" barrel and the Henry is 20". They both break down the same for cleaning and that is a big help. Overall the Henry is worth every dollar and has a really good action. The only thing that was better on my old Marlin was the trigger. But it was over 25 years old and I'm sure the Henrys' trigger will settle in after a few hundred rounds.
