Love this rifle. Haven't been able to shoot it much since Covid, but have purchased several accessories, which give me so much flexibility. So far I've added an aftermarket forearm grip, a cheap ELO, and iron optics. No issues firing 200rds so far, but I plan on officially breaking it, and upgrading the accessories. Highly recommend if you can still find

It’s a fun rifle. Shoots nice and straight! Will do everything you need it to as a fun range gun. However, the magazine that comes with it does NOT work well with this gun. All my magpul mags work great, but the one that came with it has major feeding issues. Failure to feed every other shot. If this is your first AR, pick up some extra magazines, and you’ll be good to go. Buds was great to work with, per usual! Thanks guys!

Very solid rifle. The quality of this thing feels like it should have cost twice as much. Extremely tight tolerances, keymod rail is great. I've put almost 1000 rounds through it without a single hiccup. Shot this side by side with my buddy's Daniel Defense, we both agreed, they felt and preformed similar. Only negative, and I'm reaching here, is the cardboard box. A case would have been welcomed. Definately not a deal breaker though. Overall, you can't go wrong with this core 15. Best bang for your buck I've seen.

Very solid rifle, took it to the range and put a few hundred rounds of inexpensive Federal 223 55gr through it without any issues. Buds shipping was extremely fast and hassle free. Gun arrived to FFL in perfect condition. Highly recommend the rifle and Buds.

I like the gun with the exception of the takedown pins. I noticed that the upper and lower receiver rattles a little bit due to the pins that could be pushed out with me finger. Otherwise my experience has been very good.

This is a lot of gun for the money, and I plan on a few minor upgrades over the next few months. Decent trigger, solid extended rail and quality BCG. I only have one minor issue... the stock is pretty loose and flimsy. Easy to upgrade.

This rifle arrived in great condition. Everything is tight, and has the feel of a much more expensive rifle. I am extremely happy with this purchase, and would recommend it to anyone.

Very nice rifle for the money! I bought mine about a year ago and finally feel I can give some comments. First off the presentation is pretty bare-bones; the CORE arrives in just a cardboard box with one GI-type magazine. The finish is pretty good looking overall. Mine had a minor mark/blemish on the lower but nothing too bad. I bought this one to be a tool, not jewelry, so I don't mind. The keymod rail is superb! When I bought mine it was $699, and it's a lot of rifle for that price! The stock and grip are fairly cheap, certainly serviceable but I replaced them with Bravo Gunfighter stock & grip. The Bravo VFG fits the rail perfectly. I will note that it does come with a small rail section to mount anywhere you want. Operationally the gun has run very well. I had one failure to feel in the first magazine with spire point hunting type ammo, but after that it's been flawless. I can't comment on accuracy yet as I have only used the rifle on an indoor range but with my Aimpoint PRO it puts them all in one ragged hole at 25 yards. I am very satisfied with this rifle! It certainly seems to be comparable to anything up to around $1k. A great rifle, especially at the price.

Purchased the rifle Feb. 17th and received on Feb 26th. Handguard is 4 inches from muzzle (go to Core's website to see actual picture). Two gripes, received the rifle with a broken ejection port cover spring, Hexmag issued with gun would not allow the gun to chamber a round due to bolt carrier hanging up on feed lips. Other than that gun was in functioning order and looked good.

I received my Scout M4 Key Mod about 4 months ago but didn't have time to give it the range test until last week. Not one bit sorry I got this rifle over the DPMS Oricle I was considering also. It ate all 200 rounds of PMC Bronze I fed it with no failures. I thought it might fail due to the Frog Lube being 4 months old. But I wanted to test that also after hearing it gets sticky durring long term storage. Ran great witht the supplied G.I Mag and the (5) Pmags I got for it. Taking it out this week to run it again and get it to final zero and test it at long range. I have no doubt it will do as well as it did at 50 yards at 100yards and longer this time. I can't say there is a better AR available for this price with this nice of a rail on it. I have had no issues finding Key Mod Rail sections or accessories for this rail. Thanks for the great rifle Bud's!!!

Hi all! This was my first AR-15 and first purchase from Buds. Overall, I am very happy with this rifle! Here are some things I wanted to share with you: 1. The keymod handguard is approximately 12.5" long, and the tip of the flash hider extends 4.75" past the handguard. In the picture, it looks like handguard extends almost to the flash hider, but it does not. 2. I have been using Wolf poly-coated steel ammo, and after about the first 60-100 rds, I will get 1-2 misfeeds. I am told that is just something that comes along with using steel ammo. 3. Finding keymod parts for this handguard was hard :(. 4. The only keymod flashlight mounts I could find were of the "offset" style. 5. Accessories that worked for me: Odin flashlight mount (offset), UTG 1/2" riser, UTG red dot, Magpul MBUS Gen 2 front/rear sights, Bravo Company BCM Kinesthetic Angled Grip (KAG), Magpul CTR stock. The 1/2" riser allows you to use the Magpul backup sights without taking off the UTG red dot. 6. I would not recommend adding picatitnny rails ontop of the keymod so you can add picatinny-dependent accessories. It makes the handguard pretty bulky.

What an all around awesome rifle. I've put about 500 rounds mixed between 5.56 and .223 through it lubed up with Italian Gun Grease. With cheap American eagle and federal green tips I got a single failure to feed with the .223. Reloaded the round into the mag, charged it and it acted like it had never happened. Slapped a Bushnell Red Dot on top and it is just silly accurate. Started at 25 yds, ended up at 100 plinking 4" steel targets with boring accuracy. A 3-9x scope would make it a lot more sporting. Zero wiggle between the upper and lower, to where I'm almost nervous about the idea of switching uppers for any reason. Trigger is so light it surprises every single person who shoots it or dry fires it. The negatives are minimal and expected - a little heavy on the rail end, finish takes scratches pretty easy (Who cares though, it's a gun...), and the stock it ships with is pretty uncomfortable. With fast or extended firing gas released is definitely there around your face but whatever as well. I'm really looking forward to adding on a more practical optic for the gun's crazy accuracy, a DD furniture kit, illumination, and the TN Boar are telling me to pick up a .300 blk barrel as well. I am extremely happy with both Core15, whom I was new to but very excited about due to reviews and prices, and of course Bud's (for the 3rd time).
