  • I am familiar with the XD but not the CZ! Anyone have knowledge of the CZP07? Most of my guns are striker fired. Does the hammer trigger efficient and can it be a good option for carry?

  • Since you are used to "Striker Fired" pistols, with a little practice (getting accustomed to the 1st shot), the single action pull weight effort will put you in familiar feel territory of what you are used to. ((The P-07 features the outstanding Omega trigger…offering simple no-tools assembly / disassembly, less creep, cleaner pull, and longer life. It sports a firm grip with instant and intuitive targeting. The low-lying barrel axis combines with the slide backstop, allowing you to control the P-07 even during rapid firing - making it an outstanding carry weapon)). A new platform could be a good thing, especially at this price.

  • I have experience with both and the CZ is the better option for accuracy and reliability. The hammer fired pistols are more reliable in bad conditions and the CZs are prized by the Serbians and most of them I've known could break an anvil. They are a tough pistol.

  • i had one for awhile. it was a good size and weight for carry, but it had a lot of sharp edges and aggressively textured grips and slide. it was not very comfortable to carry, even in a belly band style holster that covered most of it except for the heel. i did carry it in a standard kydex for awhile, and it was even more uncomfortable. as far as being a good shooter, it kept to the cz tradition of being very accurate and reliable, but i only owned it for a couple of months. it didn't strike me as a design that was going to hold up long term. the part that really worried me was the slide rails. they aren't block shaped like normal rails. they are cut at an angle on the frame. couple that with the thin feeling polymer that the frame was made from, and it looked like a problem waiting to happen.

  • they will have a totally different feel the CZ is a SA/DA 9single action / double action) in double action you will have a long heavy trigger pull as the hammer is cocked and then released by the trigger pull. in single action the hammer is back and all the trigger does is release it resulting in a very short light trigger pull it is a very good carry option with the right belt holster combo the CZ are super guns
