  • Looks like consensus opinion is that
The P320 is a slightly better handgun than the SW MP 2.0 Compact. That being said, has anyone had the voluntary upgrade performed on there’s and are you satisfied with the new trigger? I like the old trigger but I want the gun to be safe! Thanks.

  • I have the P320 compact that I purchased about 2 years ago and just got it back from the factory trigger upgrade. If you are buying a new on P320 from Bud's it probably has already has the upgraded trigger. I did notice on mine that unlike the earlier upgrades, the notch that is cut out of the slide on mine was blued (or some come of protective coating). The earlier ones were left "raw". As to the upgrade, as far as I can tell it was the same as the original factory trigger. However, I had replaced my original trigger with an aftermarket flat-face trigger. When Sig announced the trigger upgrade, the company that made the original flat-face trigger recalled their original and replaced it with a new one for free that is compatible with the Sig upgrade. While the factory trigger is quite good, the flat-face trigger has a much better feel, shorter take up and reset, and a slightly lighter trigger pull. But bottom line, if you have a P320 that needs the trigger upgrade, go ahead and do it, you won't regret it. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Sig apparently replaced my original barrel with a new one although I don't know why. I've read several other reports were other Sig owners who did the upgrade also had heir barrels replaced. My old barrel had less than 500 rounds though it and was in perfect shape.

  • Most owners that have pistols with the upgrade prefer the old trigger feel according to what I have seen on you tube reviews and online. Even the die hard's for the old trigger seem to be satisfied and have no complaints on the new trigger re work.

  • the gun meets all safety standards as it is if you like the old trigger keep it. It was really not a big problem.

  • Hi Jerr, Yes I prefer my Sigs more then most of my firearms. The new trigger curls around your finger more giving it a more ease of pull.
