while I don't have the M200 I have 7 different RIA guns (1911s) and I love them the finish has been the week point on mine (it has gotten better) in the unlikely event you have a issue with the gun (my xt-22) RIA will bend over backwards to correct it for you the customer service that I received from them was 2nd to none and to me that is the most important thing just knowing that if you get a problem gun it will be corrected lets me buy RIA guns with no worries

I have the M206 and it is a great shooter. It is a fun little gun. I will say i did have an issue with it and i got a hold of RIA. I sent it in and it was fixed right up and sent back to me in a week and a half.

The finish is "Flat Non-Reflective" hue and is what's to be expected of a $200 to $230 pistol. This is meant to be an inexpensive shooter that will last. I would not let the finish hold me up as prices will inevitably rise soon.
