I just use the Peeps for "Stationary" Target shooting. It may be different for you but open sights are better for hunting especially moving quarry which is much harder to reacquire through peep sights.

I'm using the open sight version Chris. The Peep is very limited peripherally when hunting. I much prefer these open sights : budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/16600/CVA+Durabright+Fiber+Optic+Sights+For+In-Line+Muzzleloaders
