  • I reviewed a S&W SD9VE about 5 weeks ago that I bought from Buds. I gave it a simple negative review, but there wasn't any profanity or vulgarity. The muzzle end of the slide is crooked relative to the frame. Basically, it slants to the right. My account confirms I wrote a review and I cannot write another one, but the review doesn't show on Bud’s website. Anyone else run into this issue? Seems like Buds is sanitizing reviews and preventing ones that it doesn't like from showing.

  • Joseph, unfortunately this has been reported by several members before. There has not been a clear cut course of action to remedy this at Buds Customer Service level. Perhaps a complaint filing with the B-B-B would get the appropriate response from Buds as to why your review is not posted. In any event, I hope you get the issue taken care of Sir. Cheers!

  • Joseph - You can see just how little Buds customer service cares just by looking at the answers to your question on this age. They continue to allow Steve P (using various aliases) to C&P the responses written by others, and post them as is own, even though this has been reported to them numerous times. Buds doesn't care - they're just out to make money. So whenever you ask a question, before you select a 'best answer', make sure you aren't selecting one that someone has C&P from the earlier response of another community member.

  • Joseph, BUDs does review every review. I have had some held for weeks. All you got to do to see they do not block negative reviews is read the reviews. The people that are dissatisfied the most always get their review in. Did you get BUDs warranty? Did S&W take care of the problem for you? Did you inspect firearm before accepting transfer? Hope you get it handled.

  • Joseph, I haven't run into this issue myself but if it were me I'd probably try talking to Buds' customer service. If it's just some kind of technical issue I'm sure they would fix it but if there really is a bias issue it would be good to know going forward. All I've really seen for issues with reviews is that a majority seem to mainly refer to the ease of the shipping/purchasing process as opposed to actually talking about the product.
