  • Chris the tip up barrel lever also can serve as a safety in that with it open
    no way for firing pin to hit anything plus open barrel a sign to others gun inop
    (like having revolver cylinder swung open).
    Since slide does Not stay open after last round this is remedy I use to prevent
    dry firing which Beretta advises against. First round in magazine which is last round shot I use a 22CB then rest are 22LR. When I hear the softer report from CB I know it's empty. Have to manually remove CB shell.
