Sig Sauer P320 M17 Coyote PVD Manual Safety 9mm Pistol
after all the controversy with Sig's Drop Test (where the firearm will discharge a round in the chamber if dropped at a certain angle) will this variant be compliant with that fix?

Sebastian, Depending on date of manufacture. It appears these are post 2018 models with updates. If not just call Sig with Serial Number. They will let you know if it has upgrades or should be sent in for voluntary upgrade.
