Jason, These rounds are steel cased. They are not bad for a gun. What happens is steel case does not expand as much in the chamber as brass so some people do not feel they cycle in their firearm as well as brass cased ammo. These rounds are a good value. If you have a place you can shoot them get several boxes and see how they run in your gun. As far as ranges not allowing the rounds. Sparks are one reason with the unburned powder at a range. Another reason is income from recycling brass cases. Ranges do not want to sort brass and recyclers don't pay as much for mixed stuff.

Jason, the Casing is a Polymer coated steel case (Will attract a magnet)(Non-reloadable). The Bullet Jacket Material is Zinc (Will attract a magnet). Core Material is Lead and Muzzle Velocity is 1230 fps.

These are not brass. Some ranges do not allow these for various reasons. The bullets themselves has some metal in it instead being full lead. Some outdoor ranges don’t allow this because it can start a fire. Better or worse...I never had problems with this type ammo, Th are a good price. This does have FMJ.
