Robert, Both guns are exactly the same except model 11704 has the MA trigger. That means it is a very heavy trigger pull. Maybe 11 lbs. Both are high quality S&W firearms. One just has a heavy trigger as mandated by law in a certain state of MA. One is not better then the other.

Robert, model 11074 is the MA compliant model and MA requires a 10lb trigger pull to be legal in MA. The 180022 has a 5.5lb to 6lb trigger pull weight. Everything else other than the trigger pull weight is the same.
