Hi,
No, Glock 44 is not optics ready. Because Glock 44 slide is plastic, there have been numerous experimental attempts to mount an optic on this pistol. So far, the best option is for you to remove the rear sight and install a dovetail mount for optics. This has been done before. You can check this forum (glocktalk.com/threads/glock-44-optic-possible.1811178/).

Brian, this model is not Optics Ready but you can use a Dovetail Mounting Bracket in place of the rear sight. I would contact Pew Pew Tactical for details : youtube.com/watch?v=GamxZxs8yC0

I wouldn't put a dovetail optics mount on a plastic slide.

/>That walther would be a better option if you wanted a dovetail mounted optic.
Or you could go with something like a Ruger Mark IV that has a pic rail along the top.
I've seen alot of people complain of losing zero or busting the notch on dovetail site mounts, so I wouldn't think a plastic dovetail notch would hold up any better.
